Bantwal: Youngsters Display Amazing Skills at Unique Floodlit Sports Meet

Bantwal, Dec 4: It was an amazing display of skills and athleticism as youngsters of all age groups got together to show off their talents at the Sri Rama Vidyakendra Floodlit Annual sports meet at Kalladka

The sports meet was flagged off by chief minister Jagadish Shettar on Sunday December 2.

Performances like dance by children, Kolata, music band, Karate, Deeparati, Yogasana, Mallakamba, Nrithya Bajane, Yaksha Koopaka, folk dance, fire stunts, bike stunts and beautiful formations left the spectators spellbound. The flood lights added special charm to the event.

Dr Prabhakar Bhat, convenor of Vidhyakendra; Kota Srinivas Poojary, minister for ports and Muzrai; MP Nalin Kumar Kateel; BC Mohan; N Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker; MLA Krishna J Palemar; MLA Mallika J Prasad; K Padmanab Kotary, district BJP president; Beloor Gopalkrishna; NB Aboobakkar, state minority development cell; MLC Monappa Bhandary; MB Puranik; Ramesh S, MUDA president; DR Suresh Kumar Kateel; Vijayalaxmi Deshpande; VV Bhat; Dharani Devi Maalagitti; Mangala Sridar; Rajesh Nayak Ulipaadi; SR Rangamoorthy; Ramdas Kamath, senior vice president of Infosys; Shankar Shetty, president of Mumbai Bunts Sangh; Surendra Poojary; Pundalika Haalambi; actress Thara anuradha; Sacchidananda Shetty; Srinath Hebbar; KS Nithyananda Swamiji of Chikmangalur Vedavijnana Adhyayana; juctice PP Heggade; Ramakrishna Achar; Raghu Shetty Mumbai; Vadhiraja Mumbai among others were present.

Ramachandra Ganiga Bangalore, Sundar G Bhandary Mumbai, VV Bhat Bangalore, Sarojini Bharadwaj and Dr Saroja were guests of honor.

The programme was presided by B Narayana Somayaji, president of school development committee while principal Krishnaprasad, Vasanth Madhava, Radhakrishna Adyanthaya, Shakila, Jayanand Peraje were organizers.

Prior to the inauguration of sports, he offered flowers to Lord Veeramaruthi idol.

    BEAUTIFUL PICS. Looks so professional .But I am worried about Safety of these kids.I recommend at least helmet and safety glass while doing these dangerous stunts .Don't take any chance guys.

    Hope they are covered by Insurance should anything happens while training or performing these arts.
    Hope the school imparts tolerance along with love of the nation which is fundamental principle on which Hinduism is built by our Ancestors.
    Let Us Hope- the discipline inculcated remains with the students even after they become part of future national torch bearers, unlike Yeddy or some others who came from these very organisations forgot their upbringing once the became rulers.

    Jagdish Shettar must be knowing what 'Fire Fighting' is all about, but looking at the students perform he would have learnt a few more tricks! Excellent show by the students possible only by regular routine and discipline- Keep it up..!
