Mangalore, Dec 7: A newborn boy was found near the railway track at Central railway station here on Friday December 7.

The baby is said to have been abandoned by a passenger of the Mangalore-Nagercoil 4.45 am Parashuram Express.

The incident came to light when a parcel delivery man heard the baby wail and spotted it near the track.

The baby has been shifted to Lady Goschen hospital.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Dr Ramesh Kavari who examined the infant said that the baby was born this morning. "It is a premature baby of 34 weeks, weighing 1.8 kg. The baby was brought to the hospital in a critical state by the railway police, but now its condition is stable," he said, adding that the baby was blue and cold when he was brought.

He also revealed that there was a bruise on the baby's back near the spinal cord. The baby would be kept under observation for two weeks.

Railway officials told Daijiworld that the baby was delivered in the railway toilet after which it fell on to the track. There is no clue as to its mother, and no one has contacted the railway officials to claim the baby.

Inspite of falling from the train- its a miracle that there is no infury. Even if the babe came into this world under such tragic circumstances, Its the hand of GOD that has saved this child. Even if the parents were to keep this baby they would have nothing to offer to this child. But now there is hope..... as so many people are looking to adopt this baby.

Ask a childless couple what it feels to have no child of thier own or even ask a couple if they have lost a child through death.
Its life and its precious let us all join together and become preservers of life and not killers.

Dear before you say this just think a while what you mean by abortion, it is nothing but murder, if any couple want to enjoy a moment they must think of consequences, if they dont want child then there are many ways like condoms etc. Please dont kill babies, no body have right to do that, God is creating and he have the right to say when a person to die. Instead of easing the formality of abortion why cant we request the concerned department to publish/give more awareness on having safe sex without getting pregnant, people just forget everything to get enjoyed for that moment. I am feeling really sorry for those people does abortion, please stop abortion.

The child could be abandoned under duress. Instead wasting time in investigating who and why abandon the child on railway track, please place the child with Recognised Indian Placement Agencies so that childless adoptive parents who are toiling since years for adopting a child can adopt the baby who is bundle of joy for them and at the same time the said child would too get good nurture, a secured home, a lovely family and good future.
