Kundapur: Three from Byndoor Killed in Accident near Bangalore

Kundapur, Dec 7: Three persons including a child from Byndoor here were killed in an accident that occured at Magadi taluk in Ramanagara district near Bangalore on Friday December 7.

The deceased have been identified as Vimala (24), temple 'paatri' Devadas (53) and Prajwal (4). They belonged to the same family and were residents of Makkimane, Nagoor in Byndoor.

The three of them along with another family member and 15 others had left for Tirupati on Thursday December 7 by tempo traveller. The accident occured at around 6 am on Friday when their vehicle rammed into a sand-laden lorry parked on the highway at Thippasandra Handpost in Magadi taluk.

The rest of the passengers were critically injured in the incident and admitted to Harsha hospital in Nelamangala. They have been identified as Govinda (65), Chandru (60), Mahabala (36), Godavari (21), Muttu (70), Krishna (40), Yashoda (35), Ganesh (34), Sushila (30), Sinchana (7), Harshita (6), Gautama (3), Govinda (63), Muttu (50), Mutta (51) and Shesha (48).

The identity of the driver of the tempo traveller is yet to be ascertained.

It is said that Vimala, Devadas and Prajwal were killed on the spot.

A case has been registered in the Ramanagara police station.

    WE Lost one of our friend in a similar fashion in Bangalore tirupati road in 2002 (8 people killed)when their car ramped to truck parked without proper indicator in middle of highway.

    rather than removing the sunscreens or tints from the vehicles, why cant the SC pass an order and RTO/Traffic cops exercise the basic need for Parking lights/Turn indicators/Headlamps and reflectors on all vehicles..

    Havent we seen enough accidents due to lack of basic road sense and common sense

    The god old reflectors on the rear of vehicles have vanished. what the RTO s are doing while inspection of vehicles. it is them who are responsible for this. this is the second accident in a week for the same reason. please act fast. tomorrow, it could be me or you.
