Bangalore: Yeddy Gets Glamorous Pooja Gandhi into KJP Fold

Bangalore, Dec 7: Whoever thought Yeddyurappa was eyeing only experienced MLAs and ministers to join his yet-to-be launched Karnataka Janatha Party was apparently wrong.

The former chief minister has managed to rope in popular actress-politician Pooja Gandhi, adding a glamorous touch to KJP.

The 'Mungaru Male' actress joined KJP on Friday December 7 after quitting JD(S).

Gandhi, who had joined H D Kumaraswamy's JD(S) in January this year, told reporters that she was impressed by Yeddyurappa's leadership and had hence joined KJP.

"I am impressed by Yeddyurappa's programmes for the welfare of women and the girl child. Since my personal honour and pride suffered a dent, I decided to quit JD(S)," she said.

It may be mentioned here that her political career in JD(S) had drifted into rough weather following BJP leader Ayanur Manjunath's remarks that JD(S) had the 'queen of Dandupalya' in its fold. This comment came after the release of Gandhi film 'Dandupalya' in which she played the role of a gang leader. Following the remark, an upset Kumaraswamy had chosen to distance himself from the star and rumours were abuzz that she had been asked to quit JD(S).

KJP will be launched at a rally at Haveri on December 9.

    This “Impression” is having different logic when it comes to Politicians and Film Personalities. Earlier she was impressed with Kumar Swamy and now with Yeddy and may be somebody else in future. Anyhow, JDS’s loss is KJPs’ gain. Whether Film Personalities or some other Artists, they have to settle down somewhere when they grow up due to their age.

    with two prominent ladies flanking Yeddy, there will be a tussle and bad blood soon enough.
    It's nothing new in BJP tussling for power, but this is a different type of power - to become the companion and right hand of Yeddy cassanova.
    In my opinion - new will succeed and then the tussle will begin.

    Shri. BYS, we sincerely appreciate that your KJP is secular party and you have departed from your earlier communal policies for good.
    Glamour is o.k. to some extend but prior to that if you really think of serving people of Karnataka, set your priorities right.
    Issues concerning peoples well being, farmers grievances, development etc. should be accorded first priority. Tell the people, what are your top priorities and how you are going to achieve that !

    One thing is SURE. JDS will be in fourth position in election result. In fact it is good thing for Kannadigas. This stupid JDS used to play dirty politics every time and collapsed many Govts in past.

    HDK is already shivering with the launch of KJP. HDK has power only in 4-5 districts, but BSY influence entire state.

    Ayanur Manjunath BJP RS MP and erstwhile BSY's right hand man(now remained in BJP as of now, in fact, referred Pooja Gandhi's Dandupalya film release for a causal political comparison/dig which resulted in Pooja's disowning by JDS supremo HDK.I think that decision is very poor and immature as an political head!On that day onward(HDK's dig @ Pooja)certainly,Pooja heartily distanced from JDS.

    As Mrs Tara another yesteryear's Film heroine who was made corporation Chairperson by BSY romped in Pooja and appraised her to join KJP. Coming Assembly election will be colorful with all these FILMI- ACTRESS.Can they bring vote ? which is a million dollar question.

    I guess Yeddy offered more money to Pooja in gunny bags..So she joined KJP..Hanna idhre kelasa mugithu..if there is enough money work gets done easily..most of the actress will run behind money and power...one more ex: Radhika Kumaraswamy!!!
