Mangalore: Festive Joy Abounds at KORWA Christmas Celebrations

Mangalore, Dec 8: Christmas joy was all around as Konkan Overseas Returnees Welfare Association (KORWA) celebrated the festive season with traditional Christmas spirit at Bishop Jathanna Auditorium, KACES Campus, Balmatta here on Saturday December 8.
Prior to the celebration, Fr Ravi Santhosh Kamath invoked god’s blessings and said Christmas celebration has no barriers, it is celebrated by people of all religions. He wished people with loads of happiness on this occasion.
The celebration was inaugurated by Fr Kamath along with KORWA president Louis Lobo and office bearers.
Christmas Carols, live band performance, dance, singing and games added more charm to the celebration.
The entire premises was transformed into a Christmas wonderland. The programme concluded with dinner and baila dance.
On the occasion, KORWA association honored John D’Souza of M D'Souza Caterers for his service.
Elias Sanctis, vice-president welcomed the gathering while Roweena Pereira compered the programme.
Jessy Pinto, secretary, Rohan Monteiro of Rohan Corporation, David D’Souza, cultural secretary, Professor Hilda Rayappan, John Fernandes, Prakash Pinto from Paragon builders, Jerald Lobo, Dubai, Dr Rajneesh Sorake from Sorake Builders among others were present.
