Kundapur: Vibrant Lakshadeepotsava Lights up Kundeshwar Temple

Kundapur, Dec 13: Lakshadeepotsava and Rathotsava were held at Kundeshwar temple here on Wednesday December 12 night with much grandeur and fanfare.

The Math was adorned with traditional lamps on the outside as well as on the inside. The specialty of the celebration here was that it started in the evening and continued till Thursday morning.

The entire city was decorated with lights on the occasion of Deepotsava celebration.

Bhajans and dance programmes held in the temple premises added more charm to the event.

Former temple administration trustee H Narasimhamoorthy was honoured on the occasion.

Later, at around 10.30 pm, the idol of the deity was decorated with flowers and was taken in a procession, wherein around 20 'katte pujas' were offered.

Dollu kunitha, chande vadana, keelu kudure, tattiraya, kombu kahale flanked the colourful procession.

Thousand of devotees visited the temple and sought divine blessings.
