Nigeria Governor Killed in Chopper Crash


Lagos, Dec 16 (IANS): A governor was among six people killed in a helicopter crash in Nigeria Saturday.

Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa was the governor of Kaduna state. The accident took place in Bayelsa state, Xinhua reported. The navy chopper was on its way to Port Harcourt.

Former national security adviser General Andrew Azazi also died in the crash, the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) said in a statement.
