Mangalore: 'Actor' Sadananda Gowda Dons Role of Former CM for 'Chella Pilli'

Mangalore, Dec 16: The city's biggest mall was the 'centre' of all attention on Saturday December 15 as former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda was seen donning the role of an actor for the upcoming movie 'Chella Pilli'.

Incidentally, he plays the role of a former chief minister in the movie and during the shoot at the City Centre Mall, he 'inaugurated' a shop in its third floor.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Sai Krishna, the director of the movie said that movie will be shot chiefly in Mangalore. The crew will next move on to Hassan, Sakleshpur and Belur-Halebidu.

The USP of the movie is that it will feature a number of Kannada and Tulu artistes in the lead roles.
 
The movie will be produced by city-based Sudesh Bhandary under the banner of 'Shine City Productions'. Popular Sandalwood actors Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag will play the lead.
 
Well-known comedians Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale, Thimmappa Kulal, Sundar Rai Mandara, Jayaram Acharya, Santhosh Shetty and Ashok Shetty are playing special roles in the movie to lend a perfect dose of humour.
 
In addition, Sandalwood comedian M S Umesh is also part of the movie. Shobaraj will play the villain.

The movie is expected to release in February 2013.

    The comment made Joslyn is excellent one. Many fim stars have entered into politics ans some shined and few spoilt both in film acting and as politicians. So let politicians also embrace films and act and become super actors. In case of Sadananda Gowda he will become a superstar. Very good Sadananda Gowdre. If Colgate Co. takes you then better go for their Ad.

    It will be easy for SG to act not only in chella pilli also in any movie\play
    To become politician one has to be a very very good actor.
    See BSY in jiffy he can cry\laugh\lie etc without any effort.
    SG will win more hearts with his ready made 5000 watt smile but not votes
    I think he should continue in this profession where he'll get chance to become CM again and again!!!

    Now BJP is headed for movie buisness,
    all this crap of making a movie deal,he is busy with reading the script,better if they focus on welfare & development of society, better if this chance had been given some struggling person one had lots of dream to become a actor with a real talent.interesting kannada cinema industry now utilizing Expensive RED CAMERAS,for quick real time editing.

    DVS Dons Role of Former CM for 'Chella Pilli'.
    He proved himself a versatile personality.
    I admire this person, not only because he acquitted the wrongly implicated Christians, we can see a A.B. Vajapayee in him.
    Though groomed in RSS, he has a kind heart, peace loving, having sense of humor and strong desire to give justice and always pleasant.
