Mangalore: Shashti Brahmarathotsava Celebrated with Fervour at Kudupu

Mangalore, Dec 18: Shree Kshetra Kudupu, one of the famous temples for the worship of serpent god celebrated Shashti Brahmarathotsava at Sri Anantha Padmanabha Temple, Kudupu near Vamanjoor here on Tuesday December 18.

Thousands of devotees could be seen thronging the venue to seek divine blessings.

Shashti, an annual religious festival that falls in the month of December, is celebrated with great devotion at Anantha Padnambha Temple by a large number of devotees from far and near.

At the temple premises the Shasti, Navaka Kalashabhisheka, Ratha Kalasha, Mahapuja were held. The temple authorities had made all necessary arrangements for the devotees to make their offering.

Shree Kshetra Kudupu is one of the few places where lord Padmanabha, Subramanya and Nagadeva are worshipped.

    Waaw...its my place...nice to see shasti celebrations.... reminded of my childhood wen one of the temple priests used to buy icecreams for us....choti moti shopping @ roadside...yipppeee...missing those times very badly....
    However thank you sooo much daiji for the beautiful pictures...just felt as i am there in the crowd....or may b waiting for bus ....Thanks a lot..
