Truthful Judgement awarded for the drastic act. This kind of punishment should be mandatory all over India. Even death sentence is more suitable for rapists.

The 2 most important purpose of any punishment should be:
    1) Give a sense of justice to the victims, and,
    2) Prevent future crimes.

No amount of worldly punishment is enough for these criminals. So:
    • ute them to send them to hell for the real punishment, and,
    • ute them in public to send the strongest warning to all would-be-criminals.

Touching a woman (female)without her consent is an offence.

Molesting and/or raping a woman is of grave crime and should be dealt with iron fist. The sentence should be not short of hanging till death.

The signs of world ending are evident.

During the last two weeks print and electronic media are full of news about rapes and rapes only. Brother rapes sister, father rapes daughter, uncle rapes nice and so on...... As the nation shaking news of Delhi girl's rape in a bus, majority of our country men are asking for a death penalty to culprits.

I second Madam Sushma Swaraj's demand to pass a legislation that would pronounce a death sentence to all rapists. This is the only deterrent how we can reduce the violation on women.

As some of the commentators have rightly expressed, instead of letting the rapist to live for 22 years on public exchequer and then allowing him to come out to open, still not too old to resume the old habits, it would’ve been a better and wiser option to subject him to some torturous ution.

Indeed very good morning news. Even could have been given 50 years rigorous punishment instead of 22 years. And the penaly of Rs.25000/- is a peanut considering the trauma and the mental stability of the victim. And also after the completion of the jail term he should be hanged in the public. For the matter of fact, the criminal should realiase the crime what he has done. So he has to complete his jail term and after completion, he should be hanged.

Dear Mr.Ravi Hemmady, Barkur, Muscat, You are 100% right..no use keeping him for 22 years in jail. When he comes out ..he will 50 years then..meaningless life for rest period for him to live. After al does he deserve to live at all by all means and he can not pace society there after..better hang him and that will be a lesson for others...capital punishment is the only solution to this kind of crimes taking place every where in India special recent one in New Delhi. Our government should immediately bring an amendment to law which would bring safe and security to women all over. It is a serious matter to be considered as early as possible.

A teacher is considered as a GOD, nation builder and a protecting force. Raping own student, that is also a minor is an unpardonable offence. What guarantee that he will not commit another similar crime again after 22 years? Why to feed him with tons of biryanis for another 22 years?
Only solution is to chop his head.. if not.. chop his private organs, such that he will never rape again!!

Landnark Judgement indeed .But make the judgements like this a real deterrent for the potential rapists the message about Punishment and heinous crime that would result should be put into the eyes and ears of everybody .If you enter Gulf countries the message is written in Airports like if you possess narcotics then it will be death penalty .Every Indian should be aware at all times that if he rapes he will either get death penalty or will be jailed for Life term
