Udupi: State Developed by BJP, Not Yeddyurappa - DVS

Hemanath Padubidri
Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (DV)

Udupi, Dec 23: "Today, people do not give importance to caste, family and group politics. People expect only development from their representatives," said former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda.

He was speaking after inaugurating the district BJP convention at Town Hall here on Sunday December 23.

He further said, "BJP is getting ready for the forthcoming elections. Presently the party workers may be in confusion because of some statements by Yeddyurappa, but there is no worry. Yeddyurappa says that he has undertaken developmental works in the state, but even before he became the CM, the party had planned and decided on the projects, hence it is the work done by BJP and not Yeddyurappa. So whoever might be the chief minister, it is work of the party not of individual."

Sadananda Gowda said that before January 20, 2013 BJP will release the names of candidates to 120,125 constituencies.

“On January 5, Dharmendra Pradhan and national leaders will come to the state and this time, BJP will fight elections with under proper leadership. In 140 constituencies BJP will face competition from the Congress, and in 30 constituencies from the JD(S), while the other parties may compete only in 5,6 constituencies," he said.

"Yeddurappa had given January 14 as the last date to join his party. Six months ago, he used to say that 70 MLAs supports him, but unfortunately, only 14 MLAs attended his convention. Out of the 14, five pleaded forgiveness with BJP. In Gujarat, the BJP came to power because of development, not because of caste or group politics," he added.

"The Congress failed to rule in Karnataka so people made them sit in the opposition. Even in JD(S) groupism has reached its height, with differences of opinion between Kumaraswamy and Revanna," he said.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Kota Shrinivasa Poojary, muzrai minister, Raghupathi Bhat, MLA, Lalaji Mendon, MLA, Reshma, Mahila Morcha district president, Manohar Kalmady, town president of BJP, H Rathnakar Shetty, Geethanjali Suvarna, Yashpal Suvarna, fisheries federation president and others were present.

District president K Udayakumar welcomed the gathering. Secretary Tingale Vikramarjuna compered the event.

It is sad to see many here are blindly following particular parties, with out using their brain. We have seen congress, JDS, BJP governments in Karnataka involved in different scams, infightings, looting common man. Educated people should kick out all 3 including KJP & BRS congress.

From the comments it looks like lot of people are getting emotional (one way or the other) about DVS's smile and its effects. It is clear that UPA will be shown the door in next elections at the center. Too much is read out of Congress's gains in Himachal. Despite strong anti-incumbency BJP still managed 26 while congress had to just get 10 more for majority in the house. And since when politics in Himachal started reflecting that in the center? Does anybody remember anyone of consequence from Himachal Pradesh at the center? We in Karnataka have a dubious record of electing opposing parties in state and Center and have been successively at loss. The state chief minister always complained that center was not releasing funds and rightly so...what is the benefit of providing funds to the state that did not send enough ruling party MPs? It is infact true that Karnataka never gave a mandate strong enough to empower Karnataka MPs for a larger pie since we got used to the coalition politics. Before that we had stalwarts like Poojary, Oscar etc.,...it mattered little then as it matters today. DVS's smile or not, I really hope Karnataka electorate will show some sense this time around while casting thier votes.

I think DVS is a mass leader in DK and having good team building abilities, but due to cast politics he was forced to get down from CM post. He should learn to handle the vote of lingayat community get them in his fold, then he may become karnataka's modi. Should do good for the state as he done 11 month as CM. Should remain non-corrupt and non-greedy.

Another false propoganda!!!! The only thing that has developed is their bank accounts.

    1. A big achievement of this government was to convert 'Garden city' to 'Garbage City'.
    2. Mangalore has witnessed new concrete roads but without footpaths, storm water drains, lack of parking space.
    3. N.Karnataka has witnessed drought.
    4. Illegal mining in KA has caused loss to the tune of several thousand crores.
    5. If congress took 40 years to loot these guys looted in just 4 years flat.

People are not fools DVS... by smiling the entire day you cant hide the facts.

D V S has great Team building abilities much much better than BSY .His smiling face can attract many workers for BJP .But when it comes to working for the Farmers ,Poor people etc BSY is one step ahead of others .The main problem with BJP is that they think it is the principle that is important and not the person .They need to rewrite the Constitution with changed times .The Person with Leadership qualities is equally important as the principle .

the truth is the political parties are filled with self interested people working for their development. the chors, rouges whatever the parties call a politician once he is out from the party survives and leader and most honest man in the same party till he quits it. time is come in Indian politics to make a law in a way that once a mp/mla wins in a party he should not be allowed to change the party at any cost. i vote him in this party is he asking when changing and this is what makes corruptions breed. out of party out of politics. let some one else prove his worth.

Udupi has got very good water supply. To prove this you ask a resident of Udupi. KSA people do not know this.

Karkala MLA is worst fellow. He misused his constituency allocation fund. In BJP's next term all roads will be improved. Last 65 years nothing has happened to udupi-karkala road, karkala bus stand etc etc. Karkala people made a big mistake by not electing Sunil Kumar Anna.

Why you behind two female Corporators? They were sent to jail. Frankly speaking, these two female corrupt politicians anyway equal to your multi dozens ministers and MLAs who were still enjoying power politics inspite being charged by L.Court?Tell me, in Karnataka, any minister who were got FIR stayed in the ministry?Never!!!Even a small accusation enough for sacking..I will give you examples 1)CM IBRAHIM was resigned for accepting ROLEX WATCH from a foreign dignitary !!!RamaKrishna Hegde resigned when he was accused of phone tapping of oppn politicians! Many more instances are there. These type of bad precedents are started specifically from BJP govt!!

We demand resignations of ISH/C.T.RAVI/Asok/Somanna and another few more Ministers who were seriously trapped in corruptions.
