Bangalore: India-Pakistan Match Spectator Dies of Heart Attack

Bangalore, Dec 26 (IANS): A 47-year-old cricket fan died late Tuesday following a heart attack while watching the first India-Pakistan T20 match at the Chinnaswamy stadium here, a senior police official said.

"Kamal Jain, who was watching the match from stands, felt uneasy during the 18th over when Pakistan was batting. Though he was rushed to the nearby Mallya hospital by ambulance, he died after admission," Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravi Kante Gowda told IANS here.

Jain, who originally hails from Odisha, was working in a private firm in Bangalore.

As Jain complained of breathing trouble, his family members, who were also present in the stands, carried him out of the stadium and rushed to the hospital, less than 1km from the venue.

"No case is being registered as it was a natural death. It was a coincidence that he was in the stadium then when he felt uneasy as he was not able to breathe properly. It's sad," Gowda added.

India lost to Pakistan by five wickets in a thriller.

    @ RAKESH SHETTY, MANGALORE

Rama Sene is responsible for this death, not team India. Because, they challeged State Govt. that they won't allow Pakistan team to play in Bagalore, but, they didn't show guts to stop this match, which took a precious life. Useless people... only fit for beating women and college girls.

Winning and Losing are part and parcel of every sports events. One should take them sportingly. Emotion should not override the fun of sporting events.
As Nagesh Nayak said, let the Indian team prepare best to give a strong fight in the next match and I wish the Indian team good luck.

A YOUNG MAN LOST HIS LIFE IN A STADIUM DURING INDIA LOST TO PAKISTAN IS UNFORTUNATE.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

DEATH SHOULD NOT BE LINK TO INDIAN DEFEAT WITHOUT KNOWING HIS MEDICAL HISTORY OR BETTING .

WE CANNOT PREDICT THE RESULT OF CRICKET MATCH.

EVERY INDIAN WANTS INDIA SHOULD WIN.

BUT VICTORY & DEFEAT IS THE PART OF GAMES.

IN YESTERDAY'S MATCH INDIAN BATSMEN FAILED TO ACHIEVE A SCORE OF ABOUT 170 TO 180 RUNS.

KHOLI,DHONI, YUVARAJ,RAINA,ROHIT SHARMA FAILED IN ACCUMULTING A RUN FOR INDIA.

WHATVER HAPPENNED IS A PAST & WE SHOULD LOOK FOR NEXT MATCHES IN A POSITIVE MIND.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.I don't think it is due to India-Pak high powered T-20 Cricket match @ Chinnaswamy stadium and some are how it is a coincidence.India lost to Pak which is very unfortunate and we found a ray of hope in the bowling department in form bowler Bhuvaneshwar. Dhoni's receding rapidly and if things goes like this, he will loose captaincy very soon.It is (IND-PAK series)do or die for Dhoni in particular and matter of pride for India in general.
