Kuwait: GSB Sabha Inaugurates Decennial Celebrations

Kuwait, Dec 27: The GSB Sabha Kuwait launched its decennial celebrations at a glittering function at Avanti Palace hotel. The programme was attended by over 70 families from the community and several dignitaries.

The lighting of the lamp was adorned with the prayer and Sanskrit shlokas by Ashutosh Srinath Bhat and Shamika Gokuldas Bhat.

In his keynote address, the decennial president Dr Surendra Nayak thanked all the members for their unity throughout the years and expressed his vision of seeing the growth of the GSBs in Kuwait continuing.

The logo was inaugurated by well-known businessman Manjeshwar Padmanabh Kamath and the banner by Katpadi Ramanath Shenoy, ex-DM of Syndicate Bank, Pune. Also present for the inauguration were vice-president Sudheer Shenoy, secretary Srinivas Mohan Prabhu, assistant secretary Bantwal Ganesh Prabhu, treasurer Ramanand Shanbaugh, assistant treasurer Girish Shenoy , PRO Manjeshwar Mohandas Kamath, honorary president of the decennial committee Haridas Acharya, web committee chairman Srinath Bhat, Eknath Vernekar and members of the advisory committee.

A special Decennial cake was also cut by the children in honour of the programme.

This was followed by an introductory session of all the members for the newcomer families.

In honour of the function, a Bhajan was sung by the Asianet Idea Star singer fame Aiswarya Rao.

The gathering was kept on its toes by the versatile host Manjeshwar Mohandas Kamath, who played an instrumental role in organising the programme.

Belthangady Gokuldas Bhat, the well known business tycoon in Kuwait was the chief sponsor of the programme.

Apart from the festivities, there was also a game session of Bingo. The winners were awarded attractive gifts. The host of the game session, Mangalore Naveen Prabhu kept the mood lively with his generous doses of humour.

Special ponnadas were given to the members in honour of the function, which was followed by dinner.

Special gratitude was expressed to Devaraj Pai, Manjunath Kuduva, Ashok Pai, Viswanath Prabhu and Prakash Pai, who were the advisors for the programme, and also to Sudheesh Nayak and Shantaram Pai, who enthusiastically worked for the success of the function.

The decennial mega event will be held on January 24 at the Indian Community School, Khaitan. The website of the GSB Sabha will also be launched on the day.

    Compared to UAE GSB community it seems Kuwaiti GSB are less in number any way we have congradulate their spirt best of luck let their community spirit help themselves also for humankind specially insian
