Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (VM)

Mangalore, Dec 27: The death of the unidentified youth whose body was found near Kadri Park on Tuesday December 25 is now suspected to be a case of murder.

Police suspect that the crime may have been committed by a homosexual.

Police sources said that the deceased youth was aged around 23 years and the body was found in a bush outside Kadri Park. Later, a passerby found the body and informed the Kadri police.

He was found with his clothes in a mangled state, his right ear was damaged, with blood marks on his nose and right hand. This has led the police to suspect that murder might have committed by a homosexual, who might have forced himself on the youth or hit him hard with a sharp object.

On investigation of the spot where the body was found, the police noted that there was no sign of struggle or blood stain, which suggests that the crime may have been committed elsewhere and the body dumped there later.

Police found a 60 ml alcohol bottle, Rs 150 cash and a gutka packet in the pocket. However, the identity of the youth is yet to be established and police sources said that he might have been of Uttara Kannada origin.
