Karkala: Ranjitha Poojary of Belman Bags Gold in National-level Karate

Karkala, Dec 31: Ranjitha Poojary of St Joseph Primary School, Belman has brought laurels to her hometown, winning the gold in the 14th Karate Budokan International championship held recently in New Delhi.
She won the gold in the Kata category.
Ranjitha also bagged a bronze in Kumiti category.
Delhi Budokan Karate Association, Karate Budokan Federation of India, All India Karate Do Federation jointly organized the competition at New Delhi indoor stadium.
Ranjitha is the daughter of Ravi Poojary and Ramitha from Belman.
She has been trained by Karate coach Satish Poojary.
