Horror at Mudigere: Man Tortures Toddler to Death, Killed by Mob

Mudigere (Chikmagalur), Jan 2 (DHNS): Irate villagers lynched an inebriated man after he brutally killed a two-and-a-half-year-old baby girl in full public view at Billur village, Mudigere taluk, Chikmagalur district on Tuesday.

According to the police, Naronha Prakash and five other labourers from Balehonnur taluk in the district had come to Pattadur, off Billur, on Monday evening to dig an open well at Shanmukhe Gowda’s farm. The labourers who paunch drank on the New Year eve had a violent fight among themselves. During the brawl, Prakash allegedly attacked fellow labourer Sridhara on the neck with a knife.

On Tuesday morning, Prakash, who again consumed liquor, attacked Sumitra, who lives in a shed near the farm, with a pickaxe. He snatched her baby, Sinchana, and rammed her head against the ground.

He dragged a badly injured Sinchana on the Pattadur road for over a distance of 1.5 kms. Prakash allegedly attacked passers-by who tried to rescue the baby. He also attacked three motorists, police and eyewitnesses said.

When the public chased him, Prakash rushed to a roadside shop and ransacked it, causing a loss of Rs 50,000 to its owner Manjula. He took soft drink bottles from the shop and smashed them on little Sinchana’s head and, hurled stones at people who rushed stop him.

On seeing the plight of Sinchana, a local resident fired at Prakash in his legs and immobilised him. As Prakash fell, people attacked him with clubs and killed him on the spot, the police said.

The bodies of Prakash and Sinchana were handed over to the respective families after autopsy. Superintendent of Police N Shashi Kumar visited the spot. Sinchana was the only daughter of Suresh and Sumitra. She was born nearly a decade after their marriage, the family said.

Meanwhile, residents of Billur and neighbouring areas accused the police of not reaching the spot immediately. As officials from almost all the police stations had been to Chikkamagalur town to greet senior officials on the New Year, there were hardly any vehicles at police stations. Lower-rung staff had to hire autorickshaws to reach the spot, they alleged.

People have done a great job. I think, it is only the Public who can stop / reduce the crimes by punishing the culprits publicly with their own judgment instantly than waiting for the police/court punishment which may take ages.
Culprits do not have the fear for law, that’s why crime rate is increasing day by day and atleast let the fear of Public may make them think twice before committing any crime.

Torturing a 2 year old innocent toddler! Tears do not stop falling from my eyes when I read such stuff. I salute the villagers who gave him the appropriate punishment. If not for them,he would have ended up in a jail for a year or 2 and acquitted for lack of evidence.

The child was born after a decade of marriage and now again they are childless. Some organisations need to counsel them immediately and ensure that they do not end up their lives. May God give the couple the strength to overcome this painful tragedy.

Best solution to get rid of this beast. Suppose If he arrested then

    1.Panchnama of body
    2.FIR
3.Court case in lower court- atleast 1-3 years.
5.Judgement - Either convicted with Life imprisonment / death penalty OR relase lack of evidence
6.If death penalty, then Appleal to high court , then one judgement ( take one year )
    7.Supreme court - one year
    8.Presidents clemency

Mean while parents of child in graveyard.

I am not at all surprised at the more number of disagreements to my comments.

As I have already told this is due to the effect of Kali.

More number of people visit any of the places mentioned in my earlier comment and are under control of Kali.

They naturally disagree with sane advises.

I am happy that there are people who have agreed with my comments though there number is less.

Even in Mahabharatha, army of Pandavas, though less in numbers, defeated the Kouravas.

Whether one agrees or disagrees, the truth will not be affected and Truth only triumph.

high time to ban alchohol in Karnataka... it is really spoiling our state. in old DK especially - even teens are seeen drinking and there is no control. I salute a gentleman who risked shooting this demon on his leg .. great job sir. People of the area must be appreciated .. when the utive and judiciary of a democracy fails - there is no other alternative but the sane citizen take law unto their hands. with efficient policing - the man should have been arrsted the moment he is seen over drinking taking into consideration public safety.

Activists of Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi advised people not celebrate the New Year on January 1st by consuming alcohol, and to celebrate the New Year on Ugadi by worshipping the nature and God.

But, due to the effect of Kali people do not listen to such sane voices.

Kali dwells in Alcohol, Prostitute, Slaughter House and Gamble House and even in Gold.

    Avoid atleast the first four.

But, there are positive sides even in Kali Yuga.

One of them is people who respect Saints and follow their advise are protected.

My sincere advise is please listen to sane voices and live a righteous life.

In so many cases like this one and others, Police are not available or they do not have transport to reach the spots as their vehicles are sent to greet political leaders (more police vehicles greater the show of strength)
Again here the authorities should investigate and charge the Police officers\police for negligence of their duty.
It clearly shows, Police are only for politicians and not for piublic safety.
Why at all spend tax-payers money on them to maintain the Police force. Let the Ministers etc pay for them and maintain them
It looks to me Police are not at all a deterrent to the criminals and their activity but are in cahoots with them.
If police are cleansed most of the crimes will be lessened.

Killer deserved the fate that he did to others!
One who lives by sword will die by the power of the sword.
Whoever lays trap for others, will get trapped.
Whoever shows mercy will earn mercy!
    whoever forgives will earn forgiveness!
Human nature is moulded by divine power.
    These are facts of life!
