Chikmagalur: Teacher Thrashed for Molesting Student

Chikmagalur, Jan 3 (Dhns): A teacher who allegedly molested a student was thrashed by the residents of Uppalli in the taluk on Wednesday.

Police resorted to mild caning to bring the irate crowd under control.

The villagers said the incident came to light when the girl refused to go to school. Asked for the reason, she revealed her torment at the school.

As the news spread, a group of villagers beat up Manappa, the headmaster of government higher primary school.

Police have taken the teacher into custody.

The hooligansim by peaple increasing day by day and is very dangerous . The peaple who thrashed teacher deserve severe punishment . And as far incident is concerned , girls statement solely should not be considered , teacher is allowed to speak , as it most of times it turns out to be TEACHER - STUDENT AFFAIR and ELOPE . I feel society is still immune to these relationsips but slowly opening up. Peaple or guardians never take affair serious among students but get angry once the teacher gets involved. Is it pure jeolousy ( a kind of forbidden fruit ) ? Or patriarch society?

Western culture is more better than Indian culture. In western countries when the women walk on the road wearing bikin, no men will not stare at her. But in india, even when she wear sary or chudidaar they will eat her up with their eyes. Becoz in India women cannot come out of the house. She is only fit to work inside the house and give birth to the child.

Molesting teacher deserved the punishment but not from Mob.
Punishment should have been from Courts/Law enforcement/Police.
We see, people are getting frustrated and turning impatient as law and law enforcement is not delivering timely justice.
Urgent reforms are needed in law and justice delivery system.
Molester deserved the punishment, people taking law into their hand is not good development. In what authority somebody can take law in their hand?

Many commentators such things happens only in Congress ruled states and under the nose of Italian Madam. Is Karnataka also under Congress rule or is it the influence of western culture ? 15 rape cases within 2 months & unlimited molestation cases as well ?

Oh my god A teachers profession is to impart his knowledge to the students at the same time to become a model and a gud example to the students. If teacher only does all this filthy activities then how a teacher can lead his students in right path. If 2morrow a student also cmmits same crime teacher doesnt have the right to ask his student. If he asks then the student will immedietely answer what u r doing?all this happens when there is no cooperation between husband and wife. May god bless our teachers.

I used study in this school in early 80's. we had wonderful memories with this school. One stupid teacher spoiled whole image this school.I always appreciate Uppalli guys for social awareness they are spreading by taking these initiatives. more recently they were in news for catching thief, who were hunting for Cats to sell them in chickmagalur Hotels. On the contrary to this incident, when we used study in the same school.we had Ms.kasturi pawar as head mistresses for this school, she went on to become vice commissioner of our city.Teachers has to be model for students to follow.my sincere advice to all parents to keep an eye on children activities,if they suspect somethign unusual ,they can control it.by visiting the school.before the situation gets out of control. Many thanks to Mr.saheer, one of my childhood freind, for being part of it.

Villagers have done a great job, when the teacher failed to teach good lessons to students and follow, villagers took in charge to become his teacher to teach him a good lesson.
I also recall yesterday’s article “Horror at Mudigere: Man Tortures Toddler to Death, Killed by Mob”.
I think, it is only the Public who can stop / reduce the crimes by punishing the culprits publicly with their own judgment instantly than waiting for the police/court punishment which may take ages.
Culprits do not have the fear for law, that’s why crime rate is increasing day by day and atleast let the fear of Public may make them think twice before committing any crime.

A Teacher is called a “Good Teacher” if he or she is a regular, sincere and obedient Student. In India, we bow our head in front of GOD, Parent & then Teachers. In early decades, Teachers in our Village means he or she became very respectable person. See the difference now, even few Students scared to go to School because of this kind of Teacher. May be the culprit is just one, but bad name for entire Teaching Community. Why it is happening? Time has changed or we are changing only GOD knows!!

Many of our readers write everytime that 'WESTERN CULTURE' now what abt our INDIAN CULTURE, when we read these mesgs we feel so embarassed, we unable to defend ourselves abt our INDIAN CULTURE.
In spite of so many daily news people still do it that means these people donot know the value of ''BEING HUMAN''.
Good lesson fm the villagers, i know these things were there even when we were studying but we thought that the TEACHER is really teaching those special students but now i remember it was the same thing they used to do, gone are the days these people escaped without any punishments.

There is so much about child and women molestation and rape going on in the country and is also in the news. There is no fear of law. A teacher is suppose to inculcate principles and values in these young mind and here we see them engaged in atrocities to the child. Time we name and shame them publicly.
