Mangalore, Jan 3: Entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald Colaco distributed cakes to  children of police staff to celebrate Christmas and New Year, during a programme held at the police commissioner’s office here on Thursday January 3.

Addressing the gathering, Ronald Colaco said that police personnel have been doing very tough job at all times, but they are much neglected.

"The banking and corporate sectors must  focus more on them, especially their children, because if their children study well and excel, the policemen can do their duties efficiently," he said.

"I will give a scholarship of Rs 12 lac to the children of policemen in Mangalore, that would encourage other sectors to come forward and join hands to support the policemen and their families," he added.

He also urged the children to study hard and fulfill the expectations of their parents and excel in their career.

Dharmiah, DCP, spoke on the occasion and congratulated Ronald Colaco for his great deeds and special interest shown towards the police department.

He also said that the work done by Colaco is laudable, as he has being giving cakes and scholarships to children since nearly three years.

Manish Karbikar, police commissioner, Mutturaya, DCP, Para Shetty, DCP, CAR, Denis D’Silva and Stany Alvares and others were present.

Good gesture by Mr. Ronald Colaco. You have livened the hearts of the kids of our policemen and police women. God bless you and your family and may the Almighty adore with his choicest health and wealth. Christmas is the time of giving and that is what you have been doing throughout the year. Your scholarship of Rs.12 lac will be very helpful towards the children's education and I hope they will make the best use of it and bring pride to the sponsor, the parents and the school. All the very best.

Lord God will surely bless you on your generosity. People call the media for publicity when they donate or reach out, but Mr.Colaco you are the person showing your kindness without publicity. You have reached out orphans, mass marriages etc. etc. guess the list is endless. I remember your word of calling everyone to reach out the needy with whatever extent they can. Your word with action is an inspiration. May God bless you.

With due honour to Entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald Colaco, you may kindly open up a legal cell for the community to defend the RIGHTEOUS, where the law is mis-used against them and they can't afford to defend themselves on their own and getting trapped.
