Agartala, Jan 6 (IANS): A five-year-old boy was murdered in Tripura in connection with an old quarrel between two neighbours, police said Sunday. The killer, an 18-year-old, has been arrested.
The victim, Sibam Das, went missing Dec 23. His decomposed body with legs and hands tied was recovered from a ceiling of a neighbour's house Saturday evening, a police official told reporters.
The boy's mouth was stuffed with cloth.
Police arrested Pritam Dey and said the crime took place at Bamkumari in the outskirts of the capital.
Furious locals burnt down Dey's house and severely assaulted his mother. Dey's father fled from the spot.
