Kundapur: Young Fisherman Drowns in Koteshwar Pond

Kundapur, Jan 7: In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old drowned while swimming at Koteshwar here on Monday January 7.

The deceased has been identified as Keshav Mogaveera, son of Chandy Mogaveera of Malpe. He was a fisherman by profession.

At around 3.30 pm on Monday, Keshav along with his friend Narayan had gone swimming at Koti Teertha pond in Koteshwar.

It is said that Keshav lost balance while swimming and was caught in the waters. His friend Narayan called for help and soon people rushed to the spot.

The Kundapur fire personnel were also called, and with the help of expert swimmers the body was recovered.

A case has been registered in the Kundapur police station.

    This must be muscle cramp. Even expert swimmers find it difficult to tackle this problem. The best way to avoid these incidents to use life jackets while swimming. Really sorry for the victim. RIP.

    sory to say that ..there is no snake or no current...this is god decission..he only giving life for everyone and he only taking life also....for him no age limit...may his soul RIP.I am praying with god give a courage and strong strength to his family....

    Really strange to note a professional fisher man drowns in a water tank where no current or dangerous unknown depths. Could be a heart attack ....?

    THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INCIDENT AS THEY ARE FAIL TO STOP THE DROWING IN MURDESWAR, SOMESWAR AND BANTWAL THEY SHOULD ASSIGN THE POLICE PERSONNEL IN THIS PLACES IF THEY INTRESTED IN TAX PAYERS INSTEAD BLAMING TO OTHER RELIGIONS / POLITICAL PARTIES !!!!
