Doha: Tulu Koota to Host 'Kala Pratibhe' on Jan 25

Doha, Jan 9: After successfully hosting the event 'Tulu Koota Gobbulu', Tulu Koota Qatar is now all geared up to host another event, where children and adults will get an opportunity to showcase their talents.

The event ‘Tulukoota Kala Pratibhe 2013’ will be held on Friday January 25 at Indian cultural Center's Ashoka hall. The event is open to all the associations of Karnataka.

Competitions will be held in various categories:

The time allocated for each event and rules and regulations are as follows:

1) Dance - 3 to 4 minutes
2) Fancy dress - 2 minutes - audio cassette and cds are not allowed.
3) Singing - 3 to 4 minutes
4) Public speaking (in Tulu carries an extra bonus point) topic will be given one week in advance. Time duration = 3 to 4 minutes
5) Dance group - 3 to 4 minutes, minimum 4 participants and maximum 6 participants.
6) Mad ads - 7 minutes, 6 participants in all, including the narrator. Exceeding the time limit will fetch negative points.

General rules and regulations:

• Children / participants / parents should bring the requirements and prepare the costumes.
• Entry fee of QR 10 for each event (per head) to be paid during registration.
• Judge’s decision will be final.
• Items of religious / political nature/ sentimental of any nationalities is strictly prohibited.
• Presentation in Tulu language especially public speaking will be given a bonus point.
• The age category will be based on the date of birth on the day of the competition.
• Any event with less than 2 entries will be cancelled.

The reporting time for the participants is 2:30 pm on the day of the competitions, and the last day for submitting the entry form is January 15.
