Udupi: Bishop Dr Gerald Condoles Demise of Adichunchanagiri Swamiji

Udupi, Jan 15: Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of Udupi diocese conveyed a condolence message on the demise of Adichunchanagiri Math chief Balaganagadharanath Swamiji, and said that it is a great loss to the society.

A press meet was by the Bishop on Monday January 14.

“The Swamiji's life was spent on upholding great human values. In the field of social service, education and religion, his
contribution was immense and remarkable," he said.

"He believed in multicultural and multireligious practices. He was the life source for countless insolvents. The swamiji has been offering humanitarian services to mankind for the last four decades. He will be remembered forever. He never hesitated to help the poor and needy”, he added.

“May his soul rest in peace," the Bishop said.

    I heard Udupi bishop is very dynamic, other day i was listening to Walter Nandalike's speech at USWAS shirva, live..full of praise for bishop. We should have such leaders who introrespect all religions
