Dubai: Nelson Castelino Elected President of USWAS

Dubai, Jan 15: Nelson Castelino, an active Shirva parishioner, residing in Dubai, has been elected the president of USWAS (UAE’s St Mary’s Welfare Association, Shirva). USWAS successfully completed its decennial year with a sparkling event at its native place Shirva on December 30, 2012.

In a recently held meeting in Dubai, the committee members of USWAS gathered to elect the new managing committee for the year 2013.

The meeting started at 4 pm with the prayer. President Manoj Menezes welcomed all the committee members. After the election the outgoing office-bearers thanked all the committee members and the members of USWAS for their cooperation and requested all to work together for better unity and to strengthen the Association.

Newly-elected president Nelson Castelino requested all the committee members to render their full cooperation and assured to do his best and continue the good work.

To celebrate its 11th year, USWAS will celebrate “Shirva Fest-2013” on February 8 at Sheraton Deira Hotel. It is an annual event of the association and will be open to all. More details to follow soon.
