Kundapur, Jan 16: Four persons have reportedly been arrested in Bangalore in connection with the murder of RTI activist and Congress member Vasudeva Adiga, whose body was found on January 12 in Chikmagalur.

Adiga was allegedly kidnapped on January 7 from Goliangadi. Five days later, his body was recovered from a pond at Kadur, with signs that he had been strangled to death.

Vasudeva Adiga

It is said that the police have arrested four persons who took contract to kill Adiga. They were rounded up from Adugodi near Bangalore, sources said.

The four accused were paid Rs 25 lac by three of Adiga's enemies, it is said.

Police teams of various districts are working together to solve the mystery behind Adiga's death and have so far achieved some success in tracing the culprits, it is learnt. The police also found a few clues soon after the recovery of the body, and a few suspects are under the scanner. The special investigation team has stumbled upon vital information and detained a few persons for questioning, it is learnt. However, the police have refused to divulge further details.

Adiga's murder has raised several questions about the safety of RTI activists in the state. Social activists in the coastal region have raised concerns over whether the government will effectively probe the death of a person who was engaged in exposing its own departments and officials. Time has come for social activists to join hands and debate the issue concerning their safety, they say.

Law and order should be made very strict. All leaders should work hand in hand to bring all crimes under control without being bias to anyone. Then, only we can see clean India.

Police have arrested four murderers is a good sign. Our police is far better than dubai police now. One man's life is gone and 25 lacs also gone. What the use by killing? Police should beat them like dhobiwala cleans a very very dirty pants or cloth (chaddi). Those who behind the murder must be put behind the bars by beating them also by iron bars. We have so much work in the fields, we do not get any persons to work, but these guys do wrong things for easy money. Poora chabri deppodu hakd hakd.

For the confused readers.....Why full revelations are not made....

REASONS.1)Investigation is in progress and not complete as of now.
2)It is hypothetical to come to the concrete conclusion unless and until tangible progress are made in the investigation point of view
3)Police always not gives verdict prematurely as it may hinder comprehensive and inclusive investigation.
4)Since it is a sensational kidnap and murder case,on law & Order point of view, police might asses the situation before it could reveal the master mind, motive and modus operandi of the whole operation.

Therefore, please give police enough time as the case will not sine die due to people's follow up.

There are thieves, robbers and criminals in our political and government system which requires total overhaul and cleaning which will never happen till we elect such leaders. Time has come for voters to take a firm stand as this country cannot afford to have criminals and thieves as political leaders and government. Time to act.
