Mangalore, Jan 18: Music maestro Wilson Olivera who has exceptionally entertained the Konkani audience over the years with his enthralling musical compositions and renditions now is all set to perform his 33rd show in the city.
The 'Sangeeth Sardar' will cast his musical spell with the ‘33rd Wilson Olivera Nite’ scheduled to be held on Sunday January 20 at Don Bosco Hall from 6:30 pm onwards.

The event has been organized by Alfred Bennis in association with St Jude parish council, Pakshikere. A few words of praise to be mentioned in favour of St Jude Parish Council which has a history of extending commendable acts of generosity towards the needy sections of the society. The funds collected from the show will be utilized for the development of St Jude Higher Primary School, Pakshikere.
A genius in Konkani music, Wilson Olivera, has earned several accolades with his sheer love for music. His undying passion has resulted in beautiful compositions which are thoroughly enriched both in meaning and melody. Having over 800 self-composed songs and six music albums to his credit, he’s reckoned a musical heart throb among Konkani music lovers and has quite deservingly been honoured with the title of ‘Konkan Manik’ and ‘Konkan Surdas’ as well. Honoured with prestigious awards like 'Konkani Kala Samaj Puraskar' in 1995, 'Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award' in 2003, and 'Divo Sahitya Puraskar' in 2008, he has all the more established a special aura in the hearts of the Konkani audience.
Few notable examples of his unconditional love for music is clearly revealed in Chandnem Udelam', 'Mai', 'Mamma', 'Gulfaghar', 'Bombaichem Chedum', 'Pavshilya Disani', Tuja Galancher', 'Mother Theresa', 'Lavina Priyanka', 'Cuckoo- Cuckoo', 'Air India Crash'. Six super hit music albums & 32 successful musical shows led by him and hosted at several destinations namely Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, with the most recent one held at Dubai on November 23, 2012 which ran overbooked with a housefull show and needless to say was a super hit.
Ronald Olivera, Wilson's younger brother, will once again be the master of ceremonies to the much-awaited musical nite. A proud winner of International Toast masters Award for four consecutive years, he is highly recognized and applauded as the impeccable entertaining compere and host who is sure to hold the audience in great awe. This will be an additional shot of excitement to the gathered spectators who are any which way bound to be musically thrilled during the entire evening.
The famous music troupe lead by Sachin ‘Trinity Live Music Band’ will compliment the brilliance of Olivera’s music and definitely add to the overall exuberance of the show.
Along with the star of the night Wilson Olivera, further sparkle to the show will be contributed by renowned singers like Rony Crasta, Prashanth Pinto, Robin Sequeira, Joseph Matias, Zeena Pereira, Carol Monteiro, all popular names in the Konkani world of music.
Apart from ‘Gaana’, the other moments of delight will be contributed by the very popular comedy group of the Konkani world 'Me-Mo-Ri', will have the audience laugh their hearts out with their bone-tickling one-liner humour shots. Over and above, radiant performances of a quite well-known dance troupe ‘Naach Sobhan’ led by a totally inventive choreographer Avil D’Cruz is sure to make the audience groove to their mesmerizing dance moves and styles.
