BJP demands Shinde's sack, He is 'darling' of terrorists: RSS

New Delhi, Jan 21 (PTI) : BJP today demanded that Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde be sacked over his charge that the party and RSS promoted "Hindu terrorism" and announced a nation-wide protest on January 24 against the controversial remark.

The RSS also joined BJP in stepping up the attack against Shinde, calling him "darling of real terrorists", noting that Pakistan-based JuD, a terror outfit, has "congratulated" Shinde for the remark made at AICC meet yesterday.

Describing Shinde as a "lightweight" Home Minister, BJP Chief Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad demanded an unconditional apology from Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over Shinde's allegation.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath and AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, a known RSS baiter, however came to the rescue of Shinde.

Nath said the BJP's outburst is an attempt to divert the attention of people from the squabbles in the party while Singh said that what he has been saying for the past several years has been proved right after the Home Minister's comments on RSS and BJP.

"Sushilkumar Shinde must be sacked and the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi must tender an unconditional apology," Prasad told reporters here.

"The BJP shall not tolerate this repeated insult of Hindu and saffron traditions of India," he said, adding the party has never linked religion with terror as terrorists had no religion.

Prasad said a nation-wide protest will be staged by BJP on January 24 against Shinde's remark.

"He(Shinde) is a lightweight Home minister and is in the habit of speaking lightly. I condemn it strongly, very forcefully. It is a malicious, baseless comment made by a lightweight Home Minister who doesn't know what he is speaking about."

RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav took strong exception to Shinde's "insensitive" remark, calling it "unpardonable" and which could also influence investigations in Malegaon and Samjautha blasts cases.

"Today, Jamaat ud Dawa etc. congratulated Shinde. Now, he has become the darling of real terrorists. It is Shinde who is helping our enemies by such statements. Now, even the LeT has welcomed his statement I am told," Madhav tweeted.

Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said, "Shinde has to prove what he has said otherwise he has to withdraw the remark or apologise."

Shinde yestereay stoked a controversy by accusing BJP and RSS of conducting terror training camps and promoting "Hindu terrorism".

Look at Hyderabad, for arresting person for his hate speech, how much his supporters are creating problem, secondly look at Delhi Crime Rates.     Sushil Shinde has cited his statement where the culprits of Samjota Express, Mecca masjid, Malegaon & some blasts in kashmir were happened to be right wing (RSS & BJP) members. Now cat is out of Bag, these people are trying to play a blame game on congress.
    We do not accept terrorism of any sort, be it by SIMI, JUD, RSS, BJP , Bajrangdal or whoever. Now RSS/BJP are busted. This is fact which is known from past 65 years. Also note the fact that, the killer of our Father of nation, Gandhiji ,was member of RSS.

    Referring to Veer Savarkar's historic monograph Hindutva (Delhi: Bharti Sahitya Sadan, 1989) which clearly differentiates between Hinduism and Hindutva ('Hinduism, is only a derivative, a fraction, a part of Hindutva. Here, it is enough to point out that Hindutva is not identical with what is vaguely indicated by the term Hinduism') the book “Godse's Children Hindutva Terror In India” by author, Subhash Gatade emphasises the need to term the terror turn engaged in by majoritarian formations here as 'Hindutva terror'.
    It underlines that similar to the differentiation between 'Islam as religion' and 'political Islam', we need to differentiate 'Hinduism as religion' and Hindutva as a political project.

    This is the strategy of Congress to divert the attention from the main problems of inflation, rape cases, corruption and scandals. Instead of branding any religion as terrorists they should focus on development and discuss the action plans to curb the terrorist camps. If Hindus are terrorists - what you are doing as Home Minister? what action you are taking? Why dont you talk about Owaisi brothers? or about recent beheading of Indian Soldier? Where was the home minister then? Too pathetic state of the Government. Please give a good and safe administration. You work should talk and not only talking. If you need minority votes please do something like job creation and better education for them instead of mudslinging on Hindu outfits.     Shinde is bold enough to say what he said. Since it is done inside India by the members of once ruling and presently ruling in many states, and the main opposition party affiliates, it becomes difficult to brand as what Shinde did. They are really fighters against free India. You can observe these groups gathering in dark at night or early morning, giving military training to youths, poisoning their young minds against non-hindus, just like Nazis of Germony they are terrorists not freedom fighters.
