Muscat : MCCP’s Annual Cricket Tournament on Jan 25

Muscat, Jan 22: The Mangalorean Catholic Center of the Parish, (MCCP, Sts. Peter & Paul Church – Ruwi), under the leadership of Lawrence Alva and his executive team, will be organizing an Annual Cricket Tournament for MCCP members (ladies, gents and children) on Friday, 25th January 2013 at the Muscat Sports Club, Al Wadi Al Kabir.

As per Ajith Walder, Vice President – Sports and Finance Committees, “ For the past many years MCCP Annual Cricket tournament is one of the most exciting and cherished event and members eagerly look forward to participate in this joyful occasion.   We, the whole executive team members under the guidance of Lawrence Alva, have worked hard to present one of the most enchanting tournaments for our members with exciting fixture.  The day will witness not only great cricket but also it will be an opportunity to share the community spirit and togetherness with fellow Mangaloreans residing in Muscat.  We request all the members and their associate members to come in large numbers and be a part of an exciting day which is coming to bowl everyone with loads of entertainment.”

As officially announced the sportive day will commence at 9:00 am with the registration for Gents (adults / youth) and team formation will be at 10.30 am. The registration for ladies and kids will be at 11.30 am. .

Traditional lunch will be served and the prize distribution ceremony will be after the tournament.

Categories are  as follows:

Gents  – Standard 10th and above - cricket
Ladies –   Standard 10th and above – cricket
Std.  6th  to 10th  Standard - ( boys/ girls ) - cricket
Std. 2nd   to  5th  Standard – hit the  ball
KG - 1 to 1st std – hit the wicket
