Bantwal, Jan 28: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his brother in a fit of rage near Vamadapadav, Punjalkatte police station limits on Saturday January 26.

The deceased has been identified as Narayan Bhat (61). Padmanabha Bhat and his wife Gopi are the accused. The brothers stayed in the same house.

As per the information obtained, Narayan Bhat used to constantly trouble his brother over a property dispute. As Narayan was unmarried, in 1991 he wrote all the property in his brother's name, based on the mutual understanding that he could use one room of the house to live in. But a few years back, Narayan changed his mind and asked a share in the property, and in this regard a complaint was also filed in Punjalkatte police station. A stay order was also passed from the court based on the complaint.

Padmanabha won the case in the court. Angered by this, Narayan used to frequently trouble Padmanabha and his family by locking the rooms, damaging property and so on.

On Saturday, an argument on the property issue arose between Narayan and Gopi. Narayan allegedly blocked her way when she tried to enter the kitchen. Shocked by this, Padmanabha in a fit of rage is said to have hit on his head. Narayan Bhat died on the spot due to heavy bleeding. Gopi fainted at the sight.

As Padmanabha has some difficulty in speaking, the incident came to light only later when his daughter enquired.

Punjalkatte circle inspector Bhaskar Rai and his team visited the spot and have registered the case.

shahnawaz kukkikatte: a death in a family is funny for you. And your idea of history is even funny. To see how funny (read: ignorant) your history is I would recommend you a book titled "Hitlers and his secret partners" an account of Hitler from academicians point of view. I know you won't read it. But just an attempt to break it to you that it is not funny.

Every religion teaches the message of love, only pure unconditional love can win them all. Materialism is on the rise true, yet there are also many who are turning to spirituality and let us not lose hope and spread the message of love by Loving and glorifying God, loving others as we love ourselves and respecting our elders........

Non veggies are violent but recent two incidents have proved that veggies are more violent than non veggies.... Adolf Hitler was a veggie who has the credit of holocausting 50 million jews...

its not the food but the attitude and upbringing one makes him violent or non violent...

It is really so sad to note the incident. Yes it is the fact that rate for land is going so high day by day that such evil thoughts will come into the minds of many. So it is always smart to keep your property (whatever it may be) in your own name till the end. You cannot trust anyone in this evil world of today. Your own dear ones will fool you very smartly. Gone are the days where there was real love.trust and fellowship.

Recent spate of murders on property seem to be by vegetarians, though it is wrongly believed that only non-veg food brings out the animal in man and that the veg food is 'satvik'.
