Kundapur, Feb 2: The annual day celebrations of Green Valley National School and PU College were a grand affair with star cricketer Harbhajan Singh gracing the occasion and conveying a meaningful message to the students.

The event was held in the premises of the School on Friday February 1.

Addressing the students, Harbhajan Singh advised them to complete their academic pursuits and take up any vocation of their choice including politics, business and sports, but at the same time, give importance to learning leadership skills.

“I had never visited places other than Bangalore during my visits to Karnataka. Only after visiting Shiroor have I realized that prestigious education institutions are located even in rural areas of the state. I am proud of this fact, and congratulate Green Valley School for its initiatives,” Singh said.

Principal of the institution, John Mathew, delivered introductory address and welcomed. Students, Jasmine and Sharanya, presented the programme. An attractive welcome dance was performed by the students before the beginning of the stage programme.

The stage programme was followed by variety entertainment and cultural programmes presented the students. Harbhajan Singh thoroughly enjoyed the cultural programmes as he even danced to the tune of Punjabi music, much to the delight of the gathering.

President and managing trustee of Green Valley School, Syed Abdul Khader Bashu, and senior vice president, Syed Hassan, were present at the dais.

I Congratulate and appreciate the initiative taken by Mr. Syed Abdul Khader Bashu President and Managing Trustee of Green Valley School in starting this great institution away from the Metros and Cities so that the best education is imparted to the deserving children even in the areas away from the cities. This will help groom many more students with talent and bring out the best of them. Well done Sir. All the best in all your future endeavors... God will bless you....

GREAT PEOPLE NEVER HAVE PUT UP SHOW OR DRESS CODE.
THEY ARE JUST LOVED THE WAY THEY ACTUALLY ARE.
WHAT WE SEE IN MEDIA IS MUCH STUNTED VERSION OF THEIR INTENT.
ONLY WHEN THEY COME SO CLOSE TO US WE REALIZE THEIR GREATNESS.
