Mangalore: Smiles all round as 'Aloysian Fest' concludes on high note

Mangalore, Feb 3: The annual 'Aloysian Fest' hosted by St Aloysius College concluded in a grand manner at the College campus here on Saturday February 2. The event comprised fests of different streams.

Chief guest N K Balakrishnan, deputy general manager, Central Bank of India, said, “It was great to see young and vibrant youth in action as they took part in the various events of the college fest. Apart from intellectual learning, involvement in such events will enable students to develop a pleasing personality. College days provide ample opportunities to participate in fests and competitions and students are advised to make the maximum of this opportunity.”
 
In the presidential address, Fr Joseph Rodrigues, rector, Aloysian Institutions, said, “Over the years, the experience that a person gains will turn knowledge into wisdom and skill into expertise and the integration of a person’s mind and heart to achieve greatness. Participation in such activities will boost the confidence of students.”

Principal Fr Sweebert D’Silva, registrar Prof A M Narahari, staff convener Dr Richard Gonsalves, finance officer Fr Walter Andrade, campus minister Fr Francis D Almeida, vice-principals, staff, and student co-coordinators were present on the dais.

The fest included ‘Art Beat’ of Arts faculty, ‘Spin Out’ of  Business Management , ‘Acme’ of Commerce, ‘Imprints’ of Science stream, cultural fest ‘Asthitva’, and sports fest ‘Aloysiad’ were held from January 31 to February 2.
