Don't have numbers, will not move no-trust motion: Congress

Bangalore, Feb 4 (PTI):
The Congress will not move a no-confidence motion as it expects the BJP government to collapse on its own, Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly said here today.

"We will not move", Siddaramaiah  said, when asked if the Congress was planning to bring in a no-trust notice in the budget session, which commenced today. "We don't have the numbers (to succeed)".

The BJP government "technically" enjoys a majority but the "ground reality" is different and it's in minority as some of the Ministers supporting former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa are only continuing in office "to loot", Siddaramaiah alleged.

"The government will fall on its own",he said and likened the step to move a no-trust motion as "flogging a dead horse".

"If government respects the Constitution, it should recommend dissolution of the House, and seek a fresh mandate', Siddaramaiah added.

In the 211-member House, after acceptance of resignation of 12 MLAs and two vacancies, the ruling BJP has a strength of 108, including an independent who is a minister, a nominated member and the Speaker.

The BJP headcount includes two members who have tendered their resignations, yet to be accepted by the Speaker K G Bopaiah.

Assembly elections are due in Karnataka in May.

After a four decade long association with the BJP and playing a key role in building it in the state, Yeddyurappa, quit the party two months ago and formally floated the Karnataka Janata Party.

Siddu is day dreaming. Better he retires from politics.
BJP definitely is a good party compared to Congress & JD but their corruption proved otherwise.

Hi, Gentle man Siddiaramayya. Are you not getting sleep?. There are tranquilisers available. Take some and sleep. If you still do not get sleep, take more of it. You have been harping the same thing since BJP came to power. There is no end to your greediness. You think, you only are capable and can fool the people. Eyes can not see themselves. You are no ption. Shamelss, you have nothing else to do. How many times you have repeated since last over 4 years over the BJP's fall?. You will see how Yeddi will lick the dust in Karnataka. You politicians think that general public is fool. That is old perception. You shameless people have looted India of its wealth. You will too know where you stand. By the way, how about joining BJP?. It is the best group as compared to any other communal parties are parties which appease some communities. That is why some communities get stomach ache whenever they hear the name of the BJP.

This is really Excellent Thoughts and action. Everyone knows that JDS will always back stab and Many Elected BJP or KJP members are busy in making money. This is what they did to get majority and every citizen knows not only in Karnataka State but whole world!!!!.

No one must ever believe JDS specially Gowda and family. They are always back stabbers and very poison persons. They invite for dinner and serve you spoiled food and make you sick.
Now we all know about BJP. They came in power and with in five years most all BJP MLA’s are now millionaires. Let us see our own MLA’s and ex-minister. Any how it is really shame on them but we must think do we need such people to rule us??????

Hope congress party people will learn from its old mistake and this is one example that they are correcting their mistake.

Technically, passing budget itself is a (no)confidence motion.wise decision by Congress because BSR and HDK keen to support BJP govt.In fact BJP govt under the circumstances is minority Govt and killing @ the age of 99 is it self is a PAPAA............Morality and democratic precedent all time love under BJP govt that also @ near ending time...

CONGRESS IS VERY CLEVER. THEY ARE PLAYING POLY-TRICS IN THE GOVT. THEY KNOW VERY WELL THAT IF THEY BROUGHT NO- CONFIDENCE, THEY WILL LOOSE 100%. EITHER JD'S', RAMALU, KJP WILL SUPPORT TO THE GOVT. THESE ELECTION IS VERY TUFF FOR ALL THE PARTY. HORSE TRADING IS THE MAIN ISSUE IN NEXT GOVT. (BETTER FIGHT ELECTION AS INDEPENDENT CANDIDENT AND MAKE MONEY)
