Kasargod: Soni Kutty killed wife, children in a fit of rage?

Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Feb 9: The investigating team entrusted with the task of unearthing reasons for the deaths of Soni Kutty, his wife, and their two children, has made some headway.

It may be recalled that lifeless bodies of Soni, his wife, Theresiamma, and children, Jerin and Jewel, were found in a car parked near Mayippady on January 29 morning this year.

The police, who have recovered a box with secret locking system, hope to get some clues from it.

They have got information that a  person residing in Germany had remitted a sum of about a crore of rupees to his relative in Kasargod, and that Soni Kutty had borrowed this money from the recipient with a promise to repay it within a certain period. The person, who waited till the expiry of time he had given to Kutty, started demanding his money back, but Soni Kutty did not have money with him, the police feel. Soni then urged his wife to part with the money she had with the bank and also the money her parents had given to her, to be able to clear the loan, but she refused.

It is surmised that Soni, in a fit of rage arising out of frustration and helplessness, would have killed his wife and the two children. Soni would thereafter have loaded the three bodies into his car before driving to Mayippady and committing suicide there, is the theory presently in circulation. The timing of the deaths calculated during the post-mortem also tallies with this version of the story.

@Vashal i dont think this was a lavish speneder, he was a public servant wife nurse and borrowed a crore still he was driving maruthi omini, instead he would have splashed the money on mercedes/chevrolet, this story just doesnt make any sense of sucicde in any angle , only media can give them justice or this case will be closed as sucicide.

This is a very easy way to close an case in our overpopulated country noone is intrested to solve a crime commited to ordinary people , only if a high profile person dies all govt. agencies will get active same as Adiga murder, this is the weirdest mismatch murder theory i ever heard, however congrats for the cops for solving the mystery, wher would/could/might words were included as justification.

    Very sad incident!
A nice family which God created met with such a tragic end.
Never to borrow, other than from Banks, unless it is absolutely necessary!
Unable to repay, the borrower may have come under unforeseen pressure from the lender, may have lead to this tragedy!
As per scriptures, Debtor becomes slave of lender, therefore all forms of Debts should be avoided.
Unable to repay, we see so many farmers committing suicides.
