Explain delay in hanging Afzal: BJP

Chennai/New Delhi, Feb 9 (IANS): The BJP Saturday asked why the government "inordinately delayed" the execution of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

But the hanging was still welcome, Bharatiya Janata Party leader M. Venkaiah Naidu told IANS.

"Perhaps the government is acting now against the death convicts as it suffers from policy paralysis. Whatever the intention, the government has to explain the inordinate delay in the execution," he said.

Another BJP leader, Ravishankar Prasad, added that the hanging "ought to have taken place much earlier. Why there was so much delay in taking this decision is a serious question".

Prasad attacked rights activists who did not want Afzal Guru to hang.

"What about the human rights of those killed in terror attacks? Those who lost life in protecting parliament? Are there no human rights for their families?" he asked.

Although its an exhorbitant delay, still the hanging of Afzal Guru is carried out!!! NOW THE ISSUE OF OF THE PRESENT GANG RAPISTS. THEY MUST BE TRIED IN FAST TRACK COURTS AND IF CONVICTED, SHOULD BE HANGED. THIS SHOULD NOT TAKE YEARS LIKE AMIR KASAB OR AFZAL GURU'S HANGING. THEN ONLY THE RAPISTS WILL GET THE PINCH. A GIRL IS RAPED MEANS, HER WHOLE LIFE ITSELF IS RUINED!! THE CONCERNED AUTHORITIES SHOULD THINK, GOD FORBID, IF AT ALL IT HAPPENS WITH ONE OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, WHAT WOULD BE THEIR REACTION. WILLY ACCEPT THIS AND KEEP QUIET OR SCREAM OF JUSTICE OR TAKE REVENGE!!!!

DELAY IS GOOD PUNISHMENT FOR AFZAL. PASSING TIME IN JAIL IS VERY DIFFICULT. NO POINT IN BJP'S ARGUMENT
