New Delhi, Feb 9 (IANS): Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal Saturday celebrated the execution of Afzal Guru by distributing sweets and bursting firecrackers here.
Supporters of both the groups gathered at Jantar Mantar in central Delhi and shouted slogans against Afzal Guru, who was hanged at the Tihar Jail Saturday morning.
"This decision should have been taken long ago. We want to know why the government took so many years? We are very happy," said Shiv Kumar, who heads Bajrang Dal's Delhi unit.
