Kasargod, Feb 11: A girl from Tuticorin,  who was allegedly gang-raped after being taken to a lodge by three persons, was dumped near Kottarakkara bus stand near Hosdurg, it is learnt.

It is said that the girl was in love with a youth named Rajesh. Rajesh, taking advantage of her feelings, convinced her to accompany him in a car on some pretext. On the way, he picked up two of his friends. He then took her to a lodge and booked two rooms in his name.

Rajesh allegedly stayed with the girl in one of these rooms, while his friends stayed in the other. Rajesh is said to have served eatables mixed with sleeping pills to her. After that, he and his friends took turns to rape her, it is said. The incident occurred four days back.

The girl was found dumped by the side of Kottarakkara government bus stand near here on Sunday February 10 morning. The three youth escaped after dropping her there. The locals, who found the girl in a precarious condition, admitted her to the government hospital.

The police, who questioned the girl, have registered a case and begun the task of nabbing the three men responsible for her condition.
