UAE armed forces conclude 19 deals worth $1.3 mn


Abu Dhabi, Feb 20 (IANS/WAM): The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces have awarded 19 defence contracts on the third day of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2013)

The contracts valued 4.9 billion dirhams (over $1.3 million), said IDEX spokesperson Obeid Al Ketbi.

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX, is the most strategically important tri-service defence exhibition in the world. It is the only international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence.
