Mangalore: Newborn baby dies, medical negligence alleged

Mangalore, Feb 20: At a hospital in Deralakatte, a baby died a few hours after its birth; accordingly a complaint was filed alleging medical negligence on behalf of the doctor.

The incident took place on Tuesday February 19.

It is learnt that, Ramya, wife of Chandrashekar from Polali was admitted to the hospital for labor pain. Soon after her delivery, the doctors informed  the family members that both the mother and child are healthy.

As per the information obtained, the baby died after 20 hours of its birth; to which the family members claim that the doctor’s negligence is responsible for the baby's death.

A case is registered at Ullal police station.
