Undertrial shot at in Delhi court


New Delhi, Feb 20 (IANS): An undertrial and a Delhi Police constable were injured when two people opened fire at the former in a city court Wednesday. One of the attackers has been arrested, police said.

The incident took place in the capital's Rohini court around noon when police presented the undertrial in the court for hearing, a police official said.

Naveen (25) and constable Anurag were immediately rushed to the Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini Sector 3. The condition of the undertrial is stated to be critical.

Police said that while one of the attackers managed to escape from the court complex, his accomplice was arrested. Both the assailants are yet to be identified.
