Mangalore: Youth from Madur dies in accident in Saudi Arabia

Mangalore, Feb 23: In a tragic incident, a youth from Madur was killed in an accident in Saudi Arabia on Thursday February 21.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Salim (26), son M U Abbas.

As per the information obtained, Salim left for Saudi Arabia on work three months back and was working as a salesman in Khamis Mushait city.

As it was a public holiday on Friday, Salim along with three other friends - Imran and Salman from Madur and another person from Kerala - left to play cricket in a car at around 10 pm on Thursday. 

When they approached the flyover located about 75 km from Khamis Mushait, a car moving in front of them applied sudden brakes. The driver of Saleem's car too applied brakes, as a result of which the car skid and rolled off the flyover. Salim who was badly hurt on the head succumbed to his injuries.

Sources said that the youth from Kerala is critically injured, while the other two are out of danger.
