Its good to see some wise comments distinguishing real rape and so called 'crafted ' fake rapes. Girl is minor but she equally consented , so why not punish Her also. Men or boys should be carefull and wise enough to deal relationship with minors. Its recomend to marry minor first before getting physical , so there are marital clauses which turns rape ipc inactive ( 15 year and 12 year age cap for married girls ). Other penals like PCMA and kidnapping can be quashed in court with girls consent. Its also recomended to keep multimedia and audio evidence ( like video , recorded calls , sms ) , and independent witness's as proof for consent. And in case of false work harrasement cases CCTV in cabin can be a great help.

    People,

Rape allegation has become a "joke" now along with Dowry harrasment...

Law should be changed making false accusation has same punishment as for rape itself...

Most lawmakers if not all are jokers and fit to work in "Circus Companies" as Clowns...

@Premnath, bro, all these dirty things have been happening since times immemorial, all of which used to be solved/hushed up by the then families, or by the family courts, Mukhias/Gurkars, but then now with with the opening of floodgates of the information era and increased awareness no place is isolated or remote and there is immediate reporting, hardly a few cases go unreported!! One has to consider the era in which we are living, how can one compare a long bygone era with that of today? With this view I am not in anyway supporting such acts, but times are such and one has to train himself to not get into such situations!!

Reduce the minor age for girls and boys. Now a days it became drama , running with b/f and when they get bored of lust ,they complain against b/f. Supreme court should allow brain mapping as a evidence.

The case has a vigorous twist I say with the foullowings doubtful justification:
    1. The girl is in SSLC - say 15 yrs
    2. The girl had gone missing after she left from home at 7.30 pm
    3. The city is Kundapur - might be a vilace place
    4. Why she left the house at 7.30 pm ?
    5. Where was she sent at 7.30 pm
    6. The abconded youth is from Brahmavar.
    7. How did he knew her ?
    8. How did this minor girl came to know that the youth is from Brahmavar.

A imperative investigation is a MUST I say.

From me I wish the minor girl a speedy recovery and pray that she will get a fair evenhandedness soon and the tru culprit gets a daily meal behind the bars.

THE LAWMAKERS ARE THEMSELVES NOT SERIOUS AS THEY ARE WATCHING PORN CLIPS IN ASSEMBLY AND FACING THE PUBLIC ON DAILY BASIS WITHOUT ANY SHAME !! THEN HOW COME YOU EXPECT FROM GENERAL PUBLIC TO OBEY THE VERY VERY WEAK LAW !!

I am in consonance with Rohan Braganza's views!! Though, this might be a true case, the laws are heavily tilted in favor of the woman putting men who have consensual relationships outside of marraige at grave risk of getting into serious trouble!! Today's Mumbai newspapers carry a front page report on some top MNC utive being accused of rape by a co employee who claims he had physical relations with her by promise of marriage and then later was preparing to marry another woman!! How, such an educated individual get into physical relations just on a verbal promise of marriage, where are the morals?

I think men should be very careful now as it is very easy to accuse somebody of molestation/rape/etc. with ulterior motives in mind and to divert attention from the real reason!!!

Lack of punishment is the main reason what we see the recent trends of abducting raping and killings nowadays.Stricter punishment a capital or life imprisonment sure yields to a results of a decline in numbers..

Looks like girl switched and changed sides upon parents interference. I hope youth has enough evidence to prove girl voluntarily came with him. Its very dangerous , just on verbal statement of a girl 'sex' becomes 'rape'. Atlast if girl is involved she also equally responsible and should be penalized.

This girl is taking advantage of the prevailing law. Someone has tutored her about the law.
It is not mentioned above how the youth managed to abduct her and where he took her.
From her house she went alone, on her own freewill and that too at 7.30 night time.
Police should interrogate her fully, until she tells the real story.

If the youth forcefully abducted and raped that youth certainly deserves capital punishment.I think some are how there could be more information other than 'MINOR"girl divulged.Anyhow, rape by force or not youth's future will be @ dead end.
