New Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS): An elderly property consultant was Saturday smothered to death at his rented house here, police said. A missing domestic help is among the suspects.
Vijay Sareen, 72, was found dead in his house in Lajpat Nagar in south Delhi around 11.30 a.m. by his maid, police said.
"Sareen's maid found his body in the bedroom with the main door open. He lived alone on the ground floor of the building," said a police officer.
Police said they suspected the hand of one of Sareen's servants who was missing.
The widower's married daughter lived in Dwarka area of west Delhi, police said.
