At the rate drug usage is going on in Manipal, very shortly Manipal will be producing drug addicts much more than they produce real Doctors and Engineers. Parents in India and abroad should be very careful about their children especially studying in Manipal.

Frequent raids to the suspected areas is one of the right path while controlling the drug and drug peddling to an extent. The raid should not be limit to once in a blue moon or to a occasion just to show the public that there exists some action!.

Drug dealers can be raided and arrested. No doubt! But what about alcohol that is openly being sold in manipal, even after serving hours? Also, many bar owners are strong BJP supporters and giving bribe to police, that is why one can see manipal students(both girls and boys) publicly drinking on roadside like in goa, instead of drinking inside the bar! Double standards, isn't it!

@Ismail Perinje, bro, there is a "pleasure center" in the brain, which when once activated with whatever be it drugs, fun activities, obsession, fetishes, or whatever other multiple reasons.....is very very difficult to bring to control!!! Bro, this is a fact of life whether we accept or not!!

Force/Supression/Domination has not yielded any positive results even in a country in which you supposedly live.....then what can one say of a democratic country??

Personally me too very against all so called illegal activities and commend the action taken by the authorities!!!

Ismail Perinje, bro, it is a simple business equation as far as there is demand, the supply will come!!! We have to ensure that the demand goes down.....then there will be no business for these smakies!!
