Udupi: Musical evening 'E Nayana Nootana' honours lyricist Jayant Kaikini

Udupi, Feb 26: Udupi witnessed a romantic classical music event 'E Nayana Nootana' at BIMS, Bimanagar, on Sunday February 24.

The visual message recorded by Kaikini exclusively thanking Avinash Kamath and his fans was played on the stage. The message said that for any lyricist it is a matter of great satisfaction that he is successful in touching the hearts of people from different walks of life.

“For the past six years, the affection I am getting from Avinash Kamath is immense. Let this evening be inspirational. Let the budding singers come up well and also let us all spread the value of Kannada, love, and human relation. Let us all see life on different angles with respect,” he said.

It was a successful evening with Kaikini’s songs being rendered by youngsters and a magic show by Limca Record winner Samarth Shenoy. The event was enjoyed by hundreds of Kaikini fans in the open air with a blend of nature and beauty.

There were 15 songs including ‘Minchagi Neenu Barali’- Galipatta, ‘Eno Idhe’- Psycho, ‘Eno Helabekku Andhe’– Maleyalli Jotheyalli, ‘Chanda Nanna Chandramukhi’- E Bhandana, and ‘Nanennu Namboodhilla’–Hagesummane , and so on.

Rope escape trick by Samarth Shenoy was the best of the lot. There was a new trick invented by him which was shown on the stage for the first time.

The event included singers Yashwanth, Dr Nithin, Prajoth D'Sa, and upcoming singing star Vaishnavi who entertained the audience with their beautiful voices.
