Mangalore, Mar 1: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has said that he will not prepare any manifesto for the KJP party for the elections, rather the development work done at the time of his tenure as CM would be sufficient for voters.

This was conveyed by M Hameed Kandak, district spokesperson, KJP at a press meet held here on Friday March 1.

This is the first press meet arranged by the KJP after its inauguration in Mangalore. As the party was installed in the district only a short time ago, due to time constraints, KJP could manage to field candidates for only 14 wards for the upcoming local body elections.

The party has chosen 'Coconut' as a symbol to represent the party, as it is an essential commodity for daily use and also religiously used in worship.

"Yeddyurappa was the only CM who could transform our state into an ideal one. He encouraged development. He was the only one who released a fund of Rs 300 crore for the development of Mangalore city. The Mangalore city roads were concreted and many other projects were initiated with this fund," he added.

Ravindra Shetty, district president, KJP said, "KJP is a party that began recently and has grown to a great extent  in a very short span of time. We are all ready and well set to compete for the upcoming elections. Our candidates will enthusiastically contest for the elections and in the coming days, KJP will raise its voice against all the problems faced by the people. We promise to stand for and with the people," he said.

The list of candidates contesting for the elections was also released on the occasion. They are:

Santosh - ward 3 Katipalla East, Mohammed Touseef - ward 5 Katipalla north, Praveen Kanchan - ward 9 Kulai, Rahim Angaregudde - ward 10 Baikampady, Chethan Kumar - ward 11 Panambur, Shivraj - ward 12 Panjimogeru, Ranjith V Shetty - ward 18 Kavoor, Geethadas - ward 19 Pacchanady, Mariyamma Thomas - ward 35 Padavu, Mary Gibson - ward 39 Falnir, Vishwas K N Singh - ward 40 Court, Sudheer Puthran - ward 45 Port, Jagadeesh Poojary - ward 51 Alape North and Fousia - ward 60 Bengre.

KJP leaders Dr Lawrence D’Souza, Shivappa Pacchanady, K Bhaskar Poojary and Gurucharan Hegde were present.

    I like jeevans comments always.
They are so meaningfully meaningless.. always
I find him as if he is caught up in strong winds - tossed up and down, side to side - hence cannot decide which side to take up!!!

The party has chosen 'Coconut' as a symbol to represent the party.

Naturally the Tarai (coconut) is a must for a good Kajpu (KJP).

Get lost you church attacker Yeddi. Hope you will even lose your Chaddi.

Yesterday on NDTV one famous Kannadiga Narayan Murthi commenting on budget said that Govt must come out with a mission statement where 20 projects are mentioned as per priorities to boost the confidence of the nation. Contrary to his view Yeddu another Kannadiga asking people to vote for him without any plan of governance. He thinks people are idiots. People know every thing and very wise. Let us waiting till voting results.

Yeddi is the only CM who was foolish and sanctioned all the money to unwanted things and used to scream saying no money while development is questioned.

He is the reason for the conditions of no roads in mangalore for years. Which resulted accidents deaths etc..

This is mangalore yeddy not shimoga or gulbarga or bidar to fool people.

Yeddy's good deeds itself speak abundantly about his achievements which have lead him to his downfall already, so manifesto is something that he can never ever think for the rest of his life.

No manifesto so no promises/no assurances and by logic no progress.
Is this a joke by a joker who thinks he was the Pied Piper when CM and everyone did what HE wanted. This is worse than Dictatorship.
