Two youngsters from Shiroor killed in road crash at Bhatkal

Bhatkal, Mar 13: Two youngsters from Shiroor, Kundapur were killed when their bike collided with a lorry near Mugli Honda here on Tuesday March 12 night.

The deceased have been identified as Hurais Kamil (17) and Tanseer Adam Daddi (17) from Shiroor.

A close relative of Kamil said that six persons from Shiroor went to Bhatkal City Light Hotel in three bikes for a dinner party.

The accident occurred when they were returning after dinner at around 9 pm. It is said that they tried to overtake a lorry and collided against another lorry approaching from the opposite direction.

Both of them suffered serious injuries. After initial treatment in Bhatkal government hospital they were shifted to Manipal hospital.

Kameel whose condition was serious died on the way to Manipal hospital. Tanseer breathed his last on reaching the hospital.

As the news spread, people from Bhatkal rushed to the spot as well as to Bhatkal government hospital.
Social worker Nisaar Ruknaddin and Nazeer Kashimji helped in shifting them to Manipal and made arrangements for ambulance.

Kameel’s body was brought back to Bhatkal after which post mortem was done at Bhatkal government hospital. His body was handed over to his family members late night. Tanseer’s postmortem was done at Manipal government hospital.

Bhatkal Majis e Islah wo Tanzeem members visited the families and offered condolence.

Bhatkal town police registered a case.

    Sad thing for the parents.... but they are to be blamed.. did not keep a chek on their children. How can the 17 yrs old ride a bike on the highways?????

    Youngsters having Dinner party and after that driving bikes towards house, ends with death, has happand so many times. Consuming Alcohol is the main reason.

    VERY SAD.MAY THEIR SOUL REST IN PEACE.20 YEARS BEFORE I TOO WAS A BIKE RIDER AND GOING SO FAST AS IF THAT WAS MY LAST RIDE.BUT TODAY I DONT EVEN DARE TO SIT IN ANY BIKE.AS A BIKE RIDER WE ARE SPIRITED AS IF TO SHOWOFF OUR DRIVING TALENT TO OTHERS.WE DONT EVEN CARE FOR TRAFFIC RULES AND CLEAR FRONT VISION.FINALLY IT IS YOUNG SPIRITED BLOOD...WHAT COULD BE DONE I DONT KNOW YET I HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE BUT ONLY GOD HAS SAVED ME...YOUNG SPIRITED BIKE RIDERS SHOULD CONTROL THEIR EMOTIONS WHILE THEY ARE ON THE BIKE.

    Everyday we read such news, comment a lot. either improvements, queries... but nothing looks acted upon or looked at. deadly roads, rash drivers, daily accidents and deaths... it's visible for everybody excpet the authorities. They are not bothered about anything and enjoying lavish life with the bribe money... so sad.

    Inna Lillahi Va Inna lillahi Rajivoon, We do not know how the death will come. In another news an youngster who was driving a car lost his life due to heart attack. His mother was sitting in the other front seat. I pray Almighty to give patience to the Parents to bear the tragedy.
