Mangalore: Maxim Pereira to present 10th Musical Nite on Easter

Mangalore, Mar 16: Glorious Angelore in association with ICYM, Cordel unit will present the 10th musical nite of  melody star Maxim Pereira Angelore at St Joseph School grounds, Kulshekar on Easter Sunday March 31 at 6 pm.

Maxim Pereira Angelore, popularly known as ‘Boom Boom Max’ to his fans will perform along with prominent singers Muralidar Kamath, Rony Crasta, Elton Nazareth, Ashish Palanna, Prakash D’Souza, Ashwin D’Costa, Zeena Pereira, Anjali Andrade, Teena D’Souza and Amabelle Moras.

Live singing, dance by Nach Sobhan, and comedy will add charm to the musical nite. There will also be Easter special non-stop 30-minute baila which will be the special attraction of the evening. The entry for 10th Musical Nite of Maxim Pereira will be free of cost.

The music for the evening will be arranged by Roshan D’Souza, orchestra by Glorious music while ace compere Jude Noronha, Bondel will be the master of ceremony.

On the occasion, Glorious Angelore's ‘Baila Boom – 2’, a non-stop dance masala compiled by Maxim Pereira will be released.

About Maxim Pereira

Maxim Pereira, born in Angelore is popularly known to his fans as “Boom Boom Max”, because of his famous audio cassette “Baila Boom”. His parents (late) John and (late) Cecelia Pereira were blessed with three daughters and four sons. Maxim is married to Nisha and the couple has a daughter named Abigail.

"If you want to achieve something, do it right now and achieve it in your youth” believes Maxim. He further says, “Youth is the right time for your achievements when you can realize all your dreams. Keep a do-or-die approach, be focused and you can achieve your goals. Try repeatedly before your youth fades away, and you will definitely succeed.” With this mantra, talent and forceful drive he rightly bagged the honour of “Yuva Pratibha” at the 'Konkani Darbar-2002'.

Maxim was also awarded the title ‘Melody Star’ by Pearls of Mangalore, a Konkani speaking association in Abudhabi February 2, 2011.

As a boy Maxim was in the Angelore parish choir.  The encouragement from the choir master, his parents, brothers and sisters, as well as friends, inspired him to improve his musical talents.  Right from childhood Maxim used to sing and practice music on a routine basis. He used to sing in church gatherings, take part in music competitions, sing in party get-togethers, and thus win appreciation from public. He was awarded the first place for three consecutive years in the ‘Kalasampath’ inter parish singing competition, in Mangalore.

He has judged several singing competitions and trains young budding singers and prepares them for various competitions.

He took Konkani music to his heart and reaped the taste of success step by step. He built up Angelore's 'Glorious' band seventeen years ago and overcoming several hiccups, he achieved success. Today the 'Glorious' band has a renowned name in city. Be it a wedding, anniversary or any grand celebration - Glorious is ever ready to entertain the crowd.

At present he owns the Graphics and Signs, Glorious Music group & The School of Music in Mangalore.

He has 10 music albums, 9 musical nites and over 50 stage shows to his credit, and has performed in Mangalore, Doordarshan (Bangalore), UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Possessing an inborn flair for music, he is not only versatile, but can also play various musical instruments, like guitar, keyboard and drums. Having the pen name “Glomax” he has composed and tuned more than 150 songs in Konkani and a few songs is Tulu and other languages as well.
