Udupi: Srinivasa Kalyanostava, Nagamandalostava held in Tonse

Udupi, Mar 16: Sri Vishweshatirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math initiated the procession of Srinivasa Kalyanostava organized by Kemmannu, Tonse Padumane family and Tonse villagers on Thursday March 14.
“Lord Venkatesha will provide good will. With Nagamandala the entire village can live with peace and prosperity. The worship and devotion of Krishna-Vitala-Srinivasa will bless everyone. Whole world will benefit from this sacred work,” said Sri Vishweshatirtha Swamiji after inaugurating the occasion by lighting the lamp.
Sri Lakshmivaratirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Math took part in the procession of Lord Srinivasa held from Gudiyam Sri Badrakali Mahamarikaamba Temple. Sri Srinivasa Seva Balaga Bengaluru welcomed the procession and performed Srinivasa Kalyanostava in Padumane open field. Laddu prasadam from the famous Thirupathi Tirumala was distributed. Later Dr Manjarichandra Sanil and his team Srishti Nruthya Kalakutira, Udupi presented a cultural programme.
Kandige Bramarishi K Mohan Bhat, Vedha Murthy Kakunje Nagananda Vasudev Acharya performed the religious rituals.
Prominent persons Ravinath V Shetty, Bharathi R Shetty took part in religious rituals.

On Friday March 15, Ashtapavitra Nagamandala Seve was performed by Tonse Nagamandalotsava committee, Kemmanu.
Muddur Krishnaprasad Vaidhya, Chandrashekar Vaidhya, Subramanya Vaidhya, Neelakansha Vaidhya, Balakrishna Vaidhya, Nataraja Vaidhya offered Nagamandala Seve under the guidance of Khandige BrahmaSri K Mohan Bhat and Sri Kukkunje Nagananda Vasudev Acharya.
In the morning, pujas like Pradhana Homa, Prayaschita Homa, Ashlesha Bali, Nagadarshana, Palla Puja were performed followed by distribution of Prasadam and conculded with Annasantharpane in the noon.
Various groups performed Bhajans on the occasion. Haridasa BC Rao Shivapura briefed the importance of Naagaradane.
Various devotional songs were sung by Rhythm group Bannanje, Saxophone programme by Naadavaibhavam Bharathi Gopala Serigara Shivapur and team while students of Nrithyasudha Mangalore performed Bharatanatyam.
