Mangalore: BJP-Congress clash - Kavoor SI transferred, bandh call withdrawn

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Mar 19: Following clashes between Congress and BJP workers on Thursday March 14 night and the subsequent protest and demand by BJP and Hindu organizations to suspend Kavoor sub-inspector Umesh, the SI has been transferred.

File Pic

Umesh took over charge at the city crime records bureau here on Monday March 18.

It may be recalled that BJP and Hindu organizations had alleged highhandedness on the part of Umesh and another constable of Kavoor police station, and accused them of resorting to unprovoked caning of their leaders during the victory procession of newly elected corporator, Muhammed, on March 14, thereby injuring former BJP corporator, Sharat Kumar, and another person.

Friction had arisen between the Congress and BJP workers relating to the use of recently formed Katte in Kunjathbail Kavoor, during the above celebration.

BJP and Sangh Parivar organizations had demanded for the immediate transfer of the sub inspector in question. They had also called for a bandh of Kavoor on Tuesday March 19, in support of their demand.

As the city police commissioner has taken a decision on the issue and transferred the sub-inspector of Kavoor, the organizations have withdrawn their call for Kavoor bandh today.

Other community people also respect him for his strong personality irrespective of caste religion. He is straight forward and he is not afraid for any enemy.

The political parties in general and the ruling government in particular, manipulate, arm-twist, misuse, abuse, transfer the honest police officials who perform their duty, as if they are their private security squad. We the public is paying tax for their salary and not the politicians or their government from their own pockets.
Karnataka is going through one of the worst governance in its history. The ministers and MLAs had free hand to loot the public wealth, they interferes in various departments like police and arm-twist the officials who perform their duty. When will we come out of this hell of banana republic?

Politicians are playing their cards for their own benefits by creating communal differences and everyone is aware of it. They don't want peace, or law and order. It is in the hands of we people to defeat such situation by keeping peace and harmony among ourselves. After all we are Indians irrespective of the religions we belong to. Sooner we learn to live together in peace, happier will be our own children in the future.

Because of BJP and Sangh Parivar there is no law and order in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi and we have already overtaken Kannur. Whenever the Police took action against BJP and Sagh Parivar goondas the Jokers of ruling BJP Govt transferred the Police officers. BJP is the first and worst govt we have seen in the history of Karnataka.
