Mangalore: Devotees gather for Way of Cross at Blessed Joseph Vaz Shrine

Mangalore, Mar 24: Way of Cross was held with fervour at Blessed Joseph Vaz hill shrine, Mudipu near here on Sunday March 24.

Fr Stephen Pereira, deacon Prakash D’Cunha along with other priests led the devotees through the station of the cross with the message of 'let us walk with faith and reach eternal life'.

More than 5000 devotees devoutly took part in the Way of Cross, meditating over the passion of Jesus Christ.
 
Fr Gregory D’Souza, parish priest of Blessed Joseph Vaz Church, Mudipu conveyed heartful to the donors, parish pastoral council members, priest and the gathering of faithful for making the ‘Way of Cross’ meaningful celebration.

After the Way of the Cross Fr Stephen Pereira conducted the holy hour and other priests rendered their valuable service in confession.

Felix D’ Souza, vice-president parish council, Felix Cutinha, secretary and Fr Rajesh Madtha were present.

Parish council and Shine committee members helped in organizing the programme.
