I really don't understand why there is a spurt in sucide, rape, theft etc.in the last two years in DK compared to other states. Has the local corporation/Panchayat taken measures to findout the root cause of the problems. Better now than later !

Earlier years, before the bridge was built, it was said there were crocodiles infesting just a Km upwards where there are small rocks in the river.
Police may be aware of that and their divers do not want to take a chance of diving there!!!!
(infested!! May be there were a couple of them that time.)
If the Police had received instructions from politicians they would have jumped in the water - crocodiles or no crocodiles (Fear of human crocodiles) otherwise fear of transfer to some remote place!!!

I still say, people should refrain from saying "R.I.P" for those who have taken their own life.
As per religion, those who commit suicide, their soul cannot rest in peace - it is deliberate\cowardly act.
If I remember well, church was not allowing burial of bodies of such deaths in the regular cemetary.
    Presently I have no idea.

You are great Mr. Ozy Crasta Kannada Kudru. Very rare people get this courage of gift from God to find the dead body in deep water. Same time we cannot blame poor police as all of us know all government post in police, government offices are filled by caste & reservation basis not on merit.

I remebmer the incident happened arnd 25yrs back, mother along with 3 childrens jumped into a well, some saw and pulled the mother out of well but dead, but they didnot pull the dead childrens, I happen to pass that side some one stopped me and told me abt the incident, we went there and the police officals are there with some divers but no one ready to get into the well bcoz it was unused well and very deep arnd 70 feet depth, the water level is arnd 18-20ft, finally I got down into the well and pulled all three childrens out and it took me arnd 30 min, along with one of my cousin.BUT our uniformed officals they just as onlookers,WATCHING THE OPERATION HERE IN SANTEKATTE I THOUGHT OF NARRATING THE INCIDENT.TILL TODAY OUR POLICE FORCE IS NOT UPGRADED NOR DEVELOPED IN THESE KIND OF OPERATIONS.
HOPE AND TRUST THEY WILL MODIFY THEMSELEVES.

With the help of Snorkeling equipment one can see the things in water which I remember using while viewing under water Coral reefs in the Andaman seas while on tour. There one can get them for rent. I don't think they cost much but very clearly one can observe the things beneath water with the help of them.

This looks like police are not attempting to recover the body from river instead they just act? Do the police force have swimmers divers and task force for emergency? Ask the police how many of them know this rescue essentials in their stations every time we see public is helping to rescue the person fallen into well, extract from accident wreckage, fish out the decayed bodies from sea or river well etc.It is high time to have the equipment and the personal these days? Mr Jossey is right I think police are not wet!

Tragic... Today there is help from medicine. May be he lost faith in his Psycho Doctor. These days Doctors have become merchants of death. Brothers and Sisters I earnestly request to look signs of depression among neighbors and help them. Depression is not bad and not contagious. Please help them. Now I wonder where is RR and Prabhu maam ? May be they sing some poetry in praise of the departed.

hearing this news I got upset, why people want to commit suicide for nothing I do not understand. Now for all kinds of diseases we have medicine, also for depression, He is 56 must have been working for Syndicate bank for a very long time, they could have helped him to save him. I am sure his friends working with him must have known his depression syndrome and should have certainly helped him. There are so many new drugs have come for depression, I am very sorry to hear this. by seeing the pictures I felt that the police are catching Bangda fish which you do not find in river. Sorry for his wife and son. RIP

Very sad indeed. Suicide is not a solution. Our life is the best gift given by GOD, please do not end it just for some issues. Fight with the problems you are having, if you can't then take help or advice from your family members, doctors or friends, suicide is not a solution.

It is situation presenting persons inability to handle mental disturbances. some are strong and some are weak. this is illness with everybody . so called normal have healthy degree of of inability so that they protest/find out solution/listen to advices and move forward. but for some people the system built in such a way..it cant be repaired and but can be controlled ..unfortunately it will work to some extent . despite gr8 doctor baligas treatment .. it failed. RIP . Instead of tagging children which religion does he belong (awareness) , yoga- mental and physical health exercises should be conducted right from school day. as he/she child grows he would automatically handle the situation well and remain imperturbed on happening of ups and downs of life. unfortunately.. children are taught.. from beginning itself -negative things.. 1. you r hindu/mu../chr... 2. you r brahimn 3. v r of high standards in the society 4. dont play with lower castes 5..speak in english only with uk/usa accent 6. dont play out, enjoy with play station. 7. enjoy life beyond means without future plannin..so on... Jai Ho!

suicide..is just short-cut to end life. it's not just end..to complete cycle of life..people wants to take again and again birth..only when person completely satisfied wholly with life..and forgave all worldy things..than only he receive 'moksha'..!! suicide is not an alternative for all problems.. face it..as much as possible..just check how many patients are lying in hospitals with severe diseases..!!
